Two Words: Buy This!!
I don’t write reviews for products I buy on Amazon, until now. This stainless steel firebox changed my Oklahoma Joe Longhorn smoker and how much fun I have cooking out. We always loved the gas grill capability, as well as the opportunity to learn the art of smoking brisket, ribs, chicken, etc. But, I always fought keeping temperature up in the firebox...I had to babysit the smoker’s firebox all day. Dampers open, dampers closed. More charcoal. Stoke the fire. Constantly watching temperatures. I couldn’t keep heat up in the box even on the hottest summer day, and would ultimately have to finish the brisket in the oven. Still awesome and delicious, but I shouldn’t have had to go 8+ hours and not be able get the meat to well done—even with the Texas crutch—because of the lame heat in my firebox. I found it hard to believe a stainless steel box would be such a game changer, but IT IS. 1) Well made and easy to put together (took under 10 mins). It’s robust and not flimsy. 2) Once it’s in the firebox, it fits like a glove and holds charcoal or small pieces of wood beautifully, allowing good airflow throughout the firebox and across the fuel. It helps keep your fire burning nice and hot and even. 3) Use a chimney to get your charcoal hot, add to the stainless steel box, and walk away. It holds 225-240F so easily. Buy this firebox!! It’ll bring the joy of BBQ and smoking back!

Great product, great company behind it!
The fire box is as described - it is sturdy, very easy to assemble, looks great and looks like it will last a long time. I purchased one fire box. The product arrived quickly. It came in only the original packaging, which was a little beat up, but the parts were all in perfect shape. The screw pack torn open and missing a few screws and nuts. I emailed help at kibaga.com. Olga promptly responded and made everything right, quite over the top support, truth be told. You won't be sorry if you purchase this fire box!

Form, Fit and Function exceptional. A truly quality product
It arrived on time and in great condition. Well packaged, and easy to assembly. Even included extra parts, screws and nuts, which are small, and if you drop one and can't find it, as I did the job can still be completed. Thanks for quality product at a very reasonable price!

Decent, but large. Not great for running splits
Picked up this basket when I got a 16" Horizon Classic. This basket is quite large and barely fit inside the fire box, with some creative maneuvering just to get it seated. I felt it sat too high up in the box and led to a lot of radiant heat overheating the near side of my cook chamber. The metal is decent, but does bow a bit when hot and I think in the long run the basket will deteriorate, but for the price that is acceptable. I have since moved on to a V shaped box designed more specifically to run splits. If I was ever going to do a minion method with charcoal the size of this box would be excellent with a set of added partitions. Not great, not junk, cheaper than a OK Joes brand, but not the best way to go for running splits.

Too Big For My Brinkmann Smoker Firebox, But Really Well Constructed and Well Packaged For Shipment
I really liked this charcoal box, but it was “just” slightly too big for my Brinkmann Smoker firebox. I was bummed. It’s actually much nicer than what I had to purchase to replace it. I wish KIBAGA made a smaller one, and if they did, I would’ve bought it. It’s a nice, clean product. GREAT packaging for shipment to prevent the possibility of shipping damage too. Good, easy to understand assembly instructions. And last but certainly not least, the owners of the company signed and noted a super nice thank you card for buying their product. That was a wonderful touch.

Totally worth the money solid item
This firebox is amazing, I've so far only took it out of the box and put it together took all of 5min. It is beyond solid and for the money I paid I couldn't imagine spending almost 2x for any other. Fits in my Oklahoma joe perfect and I cant wait to use it. I purchased this item with no reviews witch is out of my norm, but for the money I said why not and I'm so glad I did. If your looking for a firebox dont spend all your money. Save some get this 1 and you'll be truly happy you did.

Great product and company
I was surprised to see a German designed Firebox built in China for an American smoker. I was even more surprised pleasantly to get a Thank You card from the owners of Kibaga in the package. The firebox is well packaged and assembled exactly per the instructions. Have used it and it worked quite well. I would strongly recommend this for any OK Joe Highland owner. I like the personal touch with the company and would buy other products from them.

Sturdy, perfect size, multi-purpose metal crate!
I was actually looking for a metal box to sit my Mr. Heater 'Buddy' when in my van, so that it would not be sitting on or near anything that might melt. What I GOT was even better... this will let me contain a small campfire at sites that allow it, or simply be what I drop hot utensils into when I'm collecting my gear for a quick wash after meals. It's probably the first thing in my camping build that is as decorative as it is functional -- nicely done!

Wanted to burn wood pellets in my fireplace and couldn't find anything to hold them in place at any store, got this and place cardboard around sides and bottom and use liquid fire starter on the TOP to start the fire. To my surprise, once loaded with pellets it lasted 3 1/2 hours. No adding, no moving things around. An excellent way to burn CLEAN non Smoke wood pellets. Some heat warping occurs, will see how long to lasts and update after a few months. Works for me.
