Learn how to use your tools properly
The media could not be loaded. Excellent sharpening stones. I'll definitely be buying more when these eventually wear out. I've resharpened my knife four times with these and they do a great job, confirmed by microscope video attached. There's some damage to my blade here these stones can't get out, but that isn't a downside. These sharpening stones aren't meant to fix big chips and damage. But just like any tool, it can only do a good job if YOU know how to use it correctly. Unless you're already experienced with these, go YouTube a tutorial video even if you think you know what you're doing. You may learn a little helpful tip if nothing else.If you misuse it, you'll get bad results. I.E. destroying the sharpening stones too quickly, ruining your blade's edge, scraping the hell out of surfaces you don't want to.

These are great Stones at this price
These are nice stones. I still have sharpened several knives and and have no worries about sharpening several more they get your knives as sharp as your skill level allows you to sharpen them I use them on ruxin pro 009 I will say this if you have the regular stones that come with it. Not the diamond ones, the other ones. These are a must-have. There's no comparison.

UPDATED! Great for the money
I have an EdgePro system and have been thinking about a set of additional diamond stones, but the costs have held me back a bit. The Edge Pro product is fantastic, stones mounted on billet aluminum backs and very precise. Also not too cheap. These looked interesting and after going through the first round of sharpening my paring and small utility knife for the kitchen, I've found these to be quite usable, but not perfect.Pros:- Value priced- Good selection of grits in the set- Fast cutting- Even grit distribution- Nicely marked with the grit sizeCons:- Plastic mounted which means they flex a bit in use- Not completely flat, so I'll NOT be using these on my more expensive knives- Not sure the grit measurement is correct. The #600 in particular feels rougher than the #400- The warning label on each "stone" says they will RUST if they get wet, so keep them dry.Overall these area a great place to start with diamond "stones".We will see how they last.Update:After a month with these, I'm pretty happy. They work 100% with my EdgePro and my Ruxin. These are great "stones" for re-setting the edge on a knife and cut cleanly and quickly. I do get a little bit of the plastic holder being shaved off because the plates are set so low in the holder, but it is much faster to completely resharpen a knife with these than with real stones. The plates with the diamond grit are less than 1mm in thickness which means that on their own they are not perfectly flat. I am considering mounting at least one of them on an EdgePro aluminium blank for improved flatness and polishing. The only drawback is that because they are not evenly set in the holders, getting an evenly polished edge is very tough. I usually go to my ultrafine stone and then on to the polishing tapes to perfect the edge.Still, for the price, these area great addition to my sharpening kit.

Really impressed
These are far better than I expected for the price. I've only used them on four knives so far, but all the knives came out blazing sharp. I use an edge pro apex, and the "stones" fit perfectly. One of the knives I sharpened was an old Kyocera ceramic paring knife, and these diamond stones reshaped it with ease without breaking the brittle edge. I agree with another reviewer that the grit numbers printed on the stones are out of order, the "2000" in my set is much coarser, and I think the 600 is wrong too. One of my stones has a few rust spots on the surface after the first use, so these may not last very long. But I don't see any other signs of wear on the other 7 stones, even after reshaping that ceramic, so I think the diamond is bonded well. If they end up having a short life span, so be it, I'll just buy another set.

Small But Effective
These are small, which makes them a little hard to use, but the knives end up much sharper than when I started. The 240 grit is too coarse for good kitchen knives, but could be useful for restoration of knives in bad condition.

Great set! Great value.
Worked as I had hoped. No water or oil needs to be used. Nice! After several uses I do notice wear of the coarsest stone. That is to be expected. Cost per use should be acceptable. I will buy an identical replacement set when needed. Oh! Very important point: These are longer than stones which may have come in your sharpening kit. You will likely need to adjust the handle end to accommodate these diamond "stones".

Good quality
Bought them to use with a sharpening tool that came with really poor quality stones but I find it easier and faster to just use them free hand. Wish I'd just bought these and saved the $40 I paid for the tool

3/8" longer than the Ruixin water stones; requires simple modification
Be aware that all of the diamond inserts for the Ruixin Pro sharpening system are 6-5/16" long, while the waterstones that come with the sharpener are only 5-7/8" inches long. You can get the diamond stones into place, but the tension is so high that it causes the diamond stone to bow, or bend. Not ideal. I saw that I had about 1/4" of room at the end of the holder plate, so I got an Allen wrench and loosened the screw, slid the end (where the spring is) back to the end of the holder plate, and tightened it down. The diamond stones now fit without warping/bowing. Also, you'll need to loosen the screw on the sliding clamp (spring end) to get the notch/tab above the surface of the bar so that the diamond stones will engage.
