Super Comfy
Bought this to break in for a 630 mile ultra “race” (I just want to finish) in September. Once adjusted, and saddle sauce added it’s probably the most comfortable, if not the heaviest seat I’ve owned. But the weight is so negligible and honestly a moot point because this saddle is so comfy.

Second Selle saddle, and I'm still happy.
This is my second Sella Anatomica saddle , and quite honestly for me they are the most comfortable saddle I've ridden. My first Selle saddle was one I got from a friend who tried it, and had ordered the wrong saddle for his weight range, so his loss my gain. No real break in Required, I've got 100 miles on this saddle and it's just as comfortable as the one ive been riding for 2 years.

Comfortable, indeed... not particularly "robust"
In 2010, I purchased a Cannondale touring bicycle with factory-standard Anatomica saddle. I was impressed! It was indeed, the most comfortable saddle I'd ever straddled! (And at that point I'd ridden approximately 130,000 miles on lots of different saddles.)Much to my dismay, about 13 months into my Anatomica ownership experience, it broke! (The rails snapped, right behind the seatpost.) I limped on home... thought I'd see if they'd give me a grace period on the 1-year warranty. Contacted the company. They reluctantly agreed to replace it, which was pretty nice. The replacement lasted maybe 2 years - broke in exactly the same place. (D'oh! As comfortable as it is, I can't justify replacing a $120 seat every couple years.)I contacted them again; they told me they had upgraded the frame... now using a better quality Cr-Mo. I sent the old one in and paid $60 or so to replace the frame. So far, it seems to be holding up. (Knock on leather...)The frame DESIGN is partly responsible, I'm sure. Compared with most saddles, the Anatomica frame is an inch or two longer front-to-back, to give it that sweet "hammock" ride quality. The extra length, I'm sure, results additional stress.15 months or so ago, they came out with a "modular" type saddle - all parts user-replaceable. I needed another seat... I ordered their H2 model. 14 months later... the rear cast aluminum piece broke. I've got an inquiry in, to find out how much that piece will set me back. (Theoretically I should be able to unbolt the old piece and swap it out myself.)I'm rethinking my devotion to the Anatomica. I'm confident it's still the most comfortable saddle I've ridden. But at what cost? (I've currently got a Brooks B17 "Imperial" saddle on another bike, and it's pretty comfortable... No. 2 in that category. I've ordered a "Brooks Flyer" - thought I'd give it a spin.)FULL DISCLOSURE: I've not purchased any Anatomica saddles from Amazon, but rather direct from the manufacturer. Selle Anatomica says the "H" models are suitable for riders weighing up to 250 pounds. I'm a big boy... fluctuating between 235-245 pounds, depending on the time of year. So I'm pushing right up against their threshold. But... it's disappointing that it's not a little more "over-built." I'm at about 189,000 cumulative miles now, and to the best of my recollection I've broken 4 saddles over the years... 3 of them were "Anatomicas." If you're 50 pounds lighter, you'd probably be very satisfied.
