Perfect
Perfect. Does exactly what it advertises to do. The black board (which is the thickest and hardest to break) is harder to break than an actual wooden board which makes for great practice. Only downside is that initially, it is really hard to break this board... it is REALLY hard. After breaking it in though (no pun intended), then you get your money's worth from it, but please be careful initially or you could hurt yourself. Other than that, excellent product.

Really a fantastic product. When stacked
Really a fantastic product. When stacked, the boards have a uniform solid feel. The thin rubber surface is psychologically comforting... when you fail a break.Had attempted a break 3 times with no ill consequences before succeeding with 3 boardsusing weak hand.Make no mistake: The slight sting from wood breaking can be felt... just like the real deal!Resistance is genuine. Each black board is the equivalent of 1.75 thin boards. The Home Depot type 3/4" board is rated at 1.5 boards depending on dryness and natural oils.Used boards six times noticing no decrease in resistance. All reusable boards are said to weaken over time depending on use...Some reviews say these products can be used a couple of hundred times.

Nice product
I took the black board to the TKD school to test it. Several people tried it.Degree of difficulty:It's similar to or perhaps a bit more difficult than a standard 1" board (which is really 3/4")Not as difficult as two wooden boards together.Pros:Slides back together easilyPadding helps prevent injury to knuckles.Cons:It's harder to hold onto than wood. The board could easily go flying out of your hands after a successful break. For this reason I gave it only 4 stars.Overall:Great for practice. Very convenient alternative to wood. You have to be more careful with this than wood as it is harder to grasp.

Exactly what was expected.
Purchased for my 9yo daughter who has struggled with board breaking. This gives her the opportunity to continue practicing without the investment into boards. Works with palm strikes, elbow strikes, knee strikes, and kicks.

Breaks like wood goes together easily
Bought the 10/16 black. Closest thing to wood. Slides together easily and ready to break in under a minute. This will save money by not by buying 8 foot boards and save time not having to cut them to size.

Worth the smiles
It is a great training tool for my 9 year old grandson and his friends . The other three were too easy for him to break and this one is definitely more challenging. The bigger kids are able to break it and the smiles on their faces when they do are priceless . He recently broke a thicker wood board that his teacher was surprised he could do it thanks to the black board. That being said the blue and yellow are great for my 6 year old grand daughter.

Only one board
I thought I was getting a set of different colors. It showed up just one board. It was a quality board but my son was disappointed.

Good quality, needs to be broken in really well.
Bought the black board as it's what I am used to using in TKD class, it is EXTREMELY hard to break at first, and I found this out doing a speed break, holding the board in one hand and punching it with the other. It did break when I did that, but it hurt pretty good and I've got bruises on my knuckles. Best advice is to use an axe kick on it a handful of times to break it in. Happy with this purchase.
