Works well, easy to read, fast measurements

Easy to use and versatile for all ages!

One of my nurses uses the GoodBaby Touchless Thermometer and is pleased with it. That was one of the reasons I bought this item. I also liked the features and simplicity. Once I read the instructions, I took my temperature to test GoodBaby against itself as well as my mercury Thermometer. The GoodBaby forehead and ear readings were an identical 98.0. However, my mercury thermometer registered a temp of 98.6. Because both numbers were in the normal range, I wasn't too concerned about the difference. The accuracy is close enough for my needs. So, I think of GoodBaby as reasonably accurate if not precisely accurate. Depending on one's needs, this should work well enough for anyone who wants to know if they have a fever. The display is large and easy for me to read despite vision priblems. However, I do wish the large readout and color display would last one or two seconds longer. Nevertheless, when it dies cycle out, the home display does continue to show a smaller number for the last temperature taken. I've included a pen for scale. Also included, though not photographed are the Quick Start Guide, Operating Manual, and Surprise Giveaway card. To read the Guide or Manual, you may need a magnifying glass. On a somewhat minor note, I was disappointed with the Surprise Giveaway. The QR code did not work nor did typing in the URL. I've written to the company and am awaiting a response. This device is not as full featured as others on the market. However, it's less expensive than those fancier devices. I find that the GoodBaby device offers reasonable quality, the basic features I need, and a price that seems fair. I gave it 4-stars but would have given it 4.5 if I could. UPDATE: The two email addresses for customer support are invalid. The product URL appears invalid. At this point, there doesn't appear to be an easy way to contact customer or warranty support. I hope I won't be needing them.

This thermometer is better than ones I have tried in the past. First and foremost the window display for the temperature is large and clear. No need to find reading glasses to see it. I like that the window display color will change depending on whether you have no fever, a lo or hi grade fever. It is also a plus to be able to turn off or on the beep sound. Personally, I like it. But I can see where it might be annoying to some people. Also, the instructions, while not perfect are easy to follow and do not have as manner grammatical errors that I have seen with other thermometers and technology products. While I think the ear temperature mode is better suited for a child/baby’s temperature reading, and I don’t have any young ones at this point, I still like that there are multiple ways for taking a temperature. Finally, and I am sure most people wouldn’t call this an advantage per say, but I think the fact that it comes with a cloth bag in which to store the thermometer, is an often overlooked and under utilized benefit of having this thermometer. By always storing the thermometer in its bag you can (1) keep the instructions together with the product in case they are needed in the future and (2) it ensures that the thermometer won’t get scratched and banged around if stored in a linen cabinet or nightstand drawer. Protecting the thermometer means that you will likely have something that you can count on to work whenever you need it to, including months after you get when you may need to check your temperature. I am not sick now, but I like the idea that I have a working thermometer in my house in case I, or a visitor become sick at some point in the future.
