The series is great...none have disappointed so far. However, on kindle, this book was missing pages in different areas, which made reading difficult in places.

This series is a tad formulaic but it is tremendous fun! This book had a beautiful unrequited love story caused by a bitter interfering parent. It also had action/adventure and a mystery that took me a while to unravel. The series is worth reading but this book with these two finding one another again was the absolute best.

Holly's heard about dragons all her life fri3m her dad so the notion of dragon shifters isn't foreign. Unfortunately she thinks her dad is nuts. When she meets Lachlan it's lust at first sight for both of them. Being a dragon shifter, Lachlan quickly realizes it's more. Having witnessed the return of Fire Maidens elsewhere in Europe, the Guardians of Scotland are desperate to have their own and preferably one they control. Lachlan knows she's in danger and ordered to court her. When he tells Holly of dragons and danger, she fears he's a crazy as her dad but still sexy so humors him. With his heart and duty in conflict and dealing with his own insecurities about his mixed shifter heritage, Lachlan takes her to his home. When they are attacked Holly realizes it's all real. The trip home also reveals a hidden side to Lachlan. Another Fire Maiden takes her rightful place and finds her fated mate.

I love this story. Holly Jenning is the lead female character and lives in the USA when her mentor passes away on one of his visits to her home he leave her with bring his ashes back to Scotland and one last request. What's a girl to do? You can't pull that card and not do it . But she never thought she would have to make this mission with the one man that broke her heart, or that it would lead her to a remote island and danger. Is it to late to change travel plans? Lol Dragon shifter Lachlan McKenney meet his mate many years ago right as he was going into the French foreign legion . He had been raised duty came first. Not to trust in love. Beside she was better off without him. He left. There was no one else for him. At the reading of mentor's will he sees her again. Will duty win out again or Destiny? Lol got to read to find out! I love the woman who reads this, great voice. Pulls you in to the story and really keeps you involved in every page. Got the ebook too.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I LOVED Lachlan and Holly! Holly was nothing like what I was expecting her to be. She was refreshing and quite bohemian for a dragon. Lachlan was so uptight that he couldn’t see the forest for the trees! The death of someone near and dear to both of them is just what they needed to get them both on track. I wish that Trevor would have been in more books imparting his wisdom in some of the other Fire Maiden stories. Through his letters and requests, though, you felt as if you knew Trevor also. When I figured out who Trevor was, it made me love him that much more! There’s even a minor secondary character who isn’t as bad or irritating as I expected them to be. The appearance of other comrades of Lachlan and their Fire Maidens to embrace Holly made me very happy! I can’t wait for the next Fire Maiden story!

Another wonderful addition to this series. Story was unique---I appreciate that Anna Lowe manages to write entertaining, sweet and sexy, thoughtful tales. Available in KU.

I love this story, and the entire series. Danger, excitement, intrigue, and amazing characters in all of them.One statement in this book really resonated with me..."Love is life. I’m thoroughly enjoying these books because you travel around the world and now we are in Scotland. Very detailed book and the characters are great. The storyline is like an adventure where she is fulfilling a dragons wish only to get caught up in something else. Especially the arms of another dragon.

Loved the characters and the storyline and can't wait to read more in this series so it's a well deserved five stars and I would recommend this book to everyone

An absolutely amazing read. I couldn't put it down, make sure you leave yourself enough time to read this as you won't want to put it down. Amazing charachters, great plot, can't wait to read about Tony in book 7.

I love the way Anne Lowe writes with strong Alpha types and strong women with a strong self confidence and joy in life this book is no different with twists and turns and hot love too. I can’t wait for the next book.

Love this series and really enjoyed this book. Lots of sighs. A perfect dragon destiny read against the beautiful Scottish backdrop.
