Perfect Gel Pens for Neat Writing
These gel pens are amazing! They write super smoothly with a fine, thin line that makes my handwriting look neat and organized. The ink flows perfectly without smudging, and the slim tip is ideal for detailed writing. I love how professional and clean my notes look with these pens. Definitely one of the best gel pens I’ve ever used!

Pilot 0.35 mm ultra fine point pens are perfect for marking up engineering documentation...
These work very, very nicely for fine line and text markups, and writing. I buy my own stock for work, in all four colors. As much as I like fountain pens or removable cap ultra fine point pens, these retractable points are much handier and safer in a handbag. Just do NOT store them upright with the point out in a pen cup...they likely will leak a bit. A good buy for the cost as they last a long while. Can be refilled with Pilot refills if you prefer that route.

Narrow point, fast-drying, no bleed-through
Many people are familiar with the Pilot G2 line. These are ultra fine point (0.38mm). They rarely feel scratchy (a common issue if you go much narrower) and let you cram a little more writing into a small space. I am a physician and use them to write notes, to-dos, labs, vitals, and so forth on patient lists. I use the black pens all day, then switch to red for days-end notes to distinguish it from information recorded earlier in the day (e.g. AM vs PM vitals, AM vs PM I/Os, new imaging results, and so forth). I originally used a bog-standard ballpoint pen (like BIC Crystal) but found the lines much too wide given the restricted space in each patient line. These do the trick nicely. They write consistently and evenly, and the ink dries pretty much instantly. I've never encountered smearing or bleeding of the ink (unless it gets wet — see below). In short, the red G2 0.38mm is my go-to closer pen. Only cons: -Odd tendency to stop writing if they're dropped at all when ink level is at ~1/5 or lower mark. This has happened to me multiple times, and I've never been able to get the pen to recover. I just move on to the next one in the box. -The ink is a gel and does bleed if you get it wet. This happens to me not infrequently because I have to use hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting patient rooms. Any gel that falls onto the writing = smearing and bleeding. -Rare scratchiness. -There are cheaper pens out there, if you don't need the ultra-fine point. Those are pretty minor issues. Still highly recommended and will buy again once my current stock runs out.

Wire breaks through tip
The pens work great until they don't. Since purchasing these I have used four pens (from a 12-pc set), but have not been able to use them until the ink is completely gone. What happened with each of the four pens: the ink gets down to about 1/3 full, and a tiny wire pokes out of the tip. At first I thought I had gotten a metal shaving, or something, stuck in the tip but this has happened with every pen so far. This wire that pokes out scratches paper, and the ink clumps and pools. Two-thirds of each pen has worked great and I love the ultra fine tip, but these just don't last. I am still going to use the rest of the pack - waste not, want not - but if this is an ongoing problem I won't be ordering this brand in the future.

bright red and a very fine point so nice for editing or notetaking in the ...
These pens are phenomenal! It's a a light, bright red and a very fine point so nice for editing or notetaking in the margins. The pens last a long time and it's great to be able to see how much ink is left. I notice very little problems with smearing, but obviously on a glossy surface it will take a moment to dry. If you super-fine points go with 0.38. There is no such thing as too fine a point in my opinion.

Best pen
These are the best and only pens I use. They are so comfortable to write with and the ultra fine point makes writing clean and precise. I finally got them in red to correct writing assignments.
