If you’ve got a 5th wheel, you need this.
About as close to an independent suspension as you can get without spending thousands. Slipper spring and shocks together make you forget you’re towing anything. Everything in the RV is less rattled and shaken. If you’re going to use your trailer on long trips or often, this will save you money in the end. My 5th wheel isn’t getting beaten up by bad roads anymore.

They changed the spring size from 2 inch to 1 3/4 inch
I installed this on my 5t wheel toy hauler. I ordered this because it came with 2 inch springs. Roadmaster has changed the spring size to 1 3/4 inch springs which is the size of most springs are on 5th wheel trailers. I had purchased special U-hangers to accommodate the 2 inch springs. I talked to the designer of the Comfort Ride kit who sold it to Roadmaster. He deliberately went with 2 inch springs because it is a better spring. I called Roadmaster and they still had some 2 inch springs and they sent them to me free of charge. If you are ok with 1 3/4 inch spring the go with these. If not you can get the the original system from Twisty.com with the 2 inch springs. The only other problem was drilling the holes. It will take you some time. I suggest you use a tap on the hole also. I sheared the last one of the self tapping screws off when installing. It took forever to drill out the self tapping screw. I went with the slipper spring system because my Equaflex equalizer shackles broke. I did not want to happen again. To use this system you need to have a level trailer. If not you will be putting more weight on the rear axle. According to the designer it is a hundred pounds for every inch difference. The trailer rides much better now.

missing screws
2 screws were missing from box. Called Road Master and they suggested we look for replacement at a hardware store. We have looked and searched online to no avail. We ordered on Amazon. The irritation is getting this repaired on our RV, we are only here for a few more weeks.

Roadmaster Quality! Must use with Comfort Ride Shocks!
I finished installing this Roadmaster Slipper Spring System and Comfort Ride Shocks! Quality system and easy to install. I used Blue Loctite on everything! Torque settings are important ( this is where the labor is!) A rugged and well designed system that has been used for commercial trucks for years. The typical floating shackle system is so archaic and weak. Coupled with a horrible ride and constantly needing new bushings. This system eliminates most of the wear items, while providing a tremendous improvement in ride. A must for fifth wheels trailers weighing over 10k. Mine weighs almost 14k loaded. The shocks are also a well designed and much needed for a great ride! Road test was taken with a tall plastic tumbler of water on my shower shelf. After 15 minutes (normal road conditions)it did not spatter or fall off ledge. It did slide about a foot, so inconclusive until I ride in the trailer. Truck feels no different. Very high quality and much stronger than stock suspension with MorRyde 3000. These shocks/suspension are very heavy duty!

Better smoother ride
This system with the optional shocks gave the RV a better smoother ride. They squeaked for the first 500 miles but settled in after that. They don't seem to have the travel the original spring system had but didn't seem to matter.
