These are exactly what I needed for practicing swings in the living room. I've hit them off a mat and accidentally into a few walls and pieces of furniture and no damage at all, not even scuff marks. Super soft but they still give a satisfying feel off the club. I’ve used them outside too for harder hits and they’ve held up really well with no cracks or dents like some of the other practice balls I’ve tried. Bonus points for the mesh storage bag! It makes it easy to keep them all together. I highly recommend if you’re looking to sharpen your swing without breaking anything in your house or need a little gift for another golfer in your life.

These balls are a big improvement over traditional whiffle balls, but like all the other people who have done reviews, I can't figure out why the ball is half yellow and half black. I assume for marketing, but it makes it more difficult to see when hitting and when searching for the ball upon retrieval. Otherwise, I like the feel and the flight and it is a much better simulation than the whiffle balls. I would also add that the length of these seems to be 10-15% further than a whiffle ball. Great product and hopeful that they will make these all yellow based on feedback.

I am truly impressed with the quality of these practice balls. They are virtually indestructible. I've used them in my back yard and can really whack them. They work as intended and have limited flight. I've also smacked them into the side of my shed and they continue to take their shape and form. Like many of the complaints about the color, I would have to agree. The black side is a questionable design choice as when it is yellow side down, it's almost impossible to find in the grass. Other than that, very good product.

This is the most durable brand of golf wiffle ball that I've purchased. Golf wiffle balls that I've purchased from other brands have all split at the seams within a few months under normal use conditions. For the lower quality balls, the seam splitting appeared to accelerate in hot summer weather because the heat degrades the strength of the plastic. In contrast, after extended use these balls have shown no signs of splitting at the seams even when I used them in high heat conditions. These balls also appear to fly further on average than cheaper brands due to the sturdy construction. Depending on the size of your yard this could be a plus. The only drawback is that it's difficult to find the balls when you hit them outside because the black and yellow color scheme blends in well the grass. Searching for the balls can consume a significant amount your practice time depending on the composition of your yard (grass type, bushes, etc.). Retrieval time was minimal for the cheaper brands that were typically a bright orange. Because I value my time, I would only repurchase these balls if they came in a color that makes them more distinguishable from the plants in the yard.

Perfect ball to practice golf in your backyard

I used these balls for soft toss with my Pony league 7/8 year olds and they worked great. There is no signs of wear and tear on them after one season of use. I don't expect that these will wear out any time soon, and because they are limited flight, they are great for a smaller practice area. I personally use them in conjunction with a hitting net, so there are few that are in danger of really getting lost, but the black side is one minor knock on them. It simply makes it a bit harder to spot them on dark green grass. But all-in-all, it's a great investment for the manager that wants to give his kids a few swings before the game, but doesn't have a BP cage available to give them something more substantial.

I've literally learned to properly strike a golf ball using nothing more than these practice balls as a training aid. They give you very good feedback as to whether your swing is working or whether it needs more work. Like any golf ball, they will sit their and look at you (mockingly) if you are lacking in swing skills. But also, they will gladly recreate the flight of a real ball (in miniature) to a high degree of accuracy. Yes, as you improve, you will start to knock them over your neighbors fence if you live in a standard suburban environment. (30 yards maybe?) And yes, the manufactures color choice is just a plain bad idea - they hide among leaves, grass, sticks and dirt to an astonishing degree. A solid bright fluorescent orange or yellow would be a great improvement. However, even with that drawback they still earn a five star rating. Once these balls start to fly with the proper distance, height and trajectory, you can be confident that a real ball will do the very same.

I’m assuming the quality will be fine, item is as described but it’s part of a Father’s Day gift for my golf-enthusiast partner who wants to practice his skills in the backyard 😉.

Good and safe enough for indoor practice. -Update 2023- It’s my second buy in 3 years. I love this ball. I used to use stripe foam ball. It feels hard and not has same trajectory. The other one I used is flimsy plastic ball. It is too light and cracks. And! I bought this ball. It is the right one for indoor practice. I love this ball can make real trajectory angle per different clubs.
