Applys easily. Adds luster and protection.
Really good Boiled linseed oil. I have a Springfield M1A1 and am working on getting that deep reddish oxblood color to come out of this beautiful mahogany. Using lint free cloths I purchased here. I've been slowly applying one thin coat after the next. Mahogany is beautiful wood to begin with.Using this product is not only adding depth of color, it's helping waterproof and protect the wood for years and years to come. Great value for the quantity. If you're interested in either restoration of your rifles and or other wood you own this product works great.. Just adding a bit of extra protection to an unvarnished surface is simple and has wonderful results. I highly recommend this product. Do not use on Oak products. Check all wood before treating it.

Good quality
Applied to some 4x4 posts that are outdoor in TX weather about 3 years ago. Showing some wear now but as expected in our harsh climate. The packaging was easy to open and use, wish it was slightly cheaper but will buy again. This heavily covered 2 12 foot 4x4 posts and had about 1/4 left for other projects

Creates a nice finish once it dries
Works great and the finish, once dried, is great. I made some wooden playing card holders and used this linseed oil to seal them. Really pulls out the grain and I've gotten compliments and requests for more.

Returned-not inexperienced diy friendly
Item was probably fine but I was too scared to use it due to the instructions on the can. “Discard in a metal container” so it won’t spontaneously combust was too much pressure. Not diy friendly

Best BLO I've ever used
This is very high quality, highly refined boiled linseed oil. I used it to finish a guitar I built recently and it worked like magic to make the wood really pop. This oil seems to have a lot less solvent added to it than your average BLO you'd buy off the shelf at a big box hardware store, which is good because the solvents they usually put in BLO are highly toxic and carcinogenic. It takes longer to dry, which means the risk of self-combusting rags is low. You still want to use it sparingly, do many light coats and thoroughly wash your rags with detergent and warm water and spread them out to dry afterwards. See the can for more info. Make sure you use a 100% cotton, lint free rag to apply this oil. Rags made from T-shirt like cloth are best. Or just use an old, white 100% cotton T-shirt. You should re-oil wood periodically (once a year as a rough guide) to maintain the finish. You can also put some on a rag to wipe dirt off the wood. The 250ml can I got will cover several guitars or gun stocks and keep them re-oiled for years.
