Matt Christopher captures the young baseball fan in his books with ease. His writing engages and is close enough to reality that baseball enthusiasts can relate to the main characters. In this book, the main character struggles with common life issues. The issues get resolved and the journey is fun and exciting.There is some good vocabulary in this book and the writing is grammatically correct.

I have a 9 year old son who loves sports. He has a hard time wanting to read. The Matt Christopher sports series has made reading more enjoyable for my son. Love this authors books!

I bought this book to encourage my 9 year old son to read more. He liked this book and as a mother, that made me very happy. I also bought another book by this author and they were very similar, maybe too similar because my son got bored with it quickly.

my 8 year old son loves this series of books! they are great. he can not put them down. has nurtured his love of reading.
