Works perfectly with Porter Cable 4200 series dovetail jigs (4210, 4212, 4216)
If you have a router with a 1/4" shank, and want to use a Porter-Cable 4200 series dovetail jig, then this bit is your solution. I recently purchased a used 4210 jig and needed to buy a new bit anyway. I figured I would get one from Porter-Cable, to use original equipment, but they only supply a 1/2" shank bit. The problem is that my only 1/2" shank router is what I use in my router table and the router that I would be using for this only has a 1/4" shank. So I researched and found this. Got it, tried it out, and it worked like it should, no issues.

Works with Porter Cable dovetail jig. Put this in your palm router and keep the straight bit in your standard router to quickly cut tails and pins.

Perfect Router Bit for the Porter Cable Dovetail Jig!
I needed a 1/4" dovetail router bit to go with my Porter Cable dovetail jig (7 degree 17/32). This router bit worked perfectly! Super clean edges with no tear out. Will continue to buy this router bit for my PC jig!

Good bit for a router jig
This is a good solid router bit. I bought it to use with my PC dovetail jig. I have a Bosch router and the dovetail bit supplied with the Jig is pretty short. I only get about 1/2" of grab in the collet. This bit is a good 5/8" inch longer and has plenty of grab in the router collet.
