OtterBoxSymmetry Series Case for Motorola Edge+ - Black

Some background, I purchased this OtterBox case and the Edge plus at the same time. I had an OtterBox case for my previous phone, the Motorola Z2force and was very pleased with it. In my line of work my phone is routinely dropped and subjected to harsh treatment. Despite this, it remained unscathed for two straight years of use.After upgrading I naturally sought out the OtterBox case for the edge plus. After seeing the design however I felt very uneasy about how well this case would protect my phone. A normal OtterBox case you piece it together and then slip on a rubber case and the phone looks and feels very secure. This one piece snap on design for the Edge plus, however, looks like it leaves the curved sides of the phone totally unprotected. Although the sides of the case still stick out further than the edges of the phone I fear a drop at the wrong angle would have the phone land on its side and possibly crack the screen. Plus the volume and power buttons aren't protected like they were with my previous case.Despite this I still purchased the case, trusting that the designers at OtterBox know more about phone protection than I do. I can say that after a week of the same treatment my previous phone went through (multiple drops and falls) the screen still looks brand new and the case itself as well. A week isn't a lot of time though, so I promise to return and update this review after a month.For the week I've had the case it's performed well. It doesn't feel as clunky, although most of us I'm sure would rather a clunky yet 100% safe case. All the necessary openings for the speakers, the USB C charge cable, the headphone jack, and the volume and power buttons line up perfectly.The grip isn't as great as my previous OtterBox however. I believe there are two reasons for this. One, with a normal clunky OtterBox case the phone is easier to grip because it's much thicker. Two, the rubber cover you slip over the traditional OtterBox case also has better traction. With the edge plus OtterBox, even with the case on the phone it's still kind of thin. And the surface isn't rubber, it's some other material. Still, it's MUCH better than trying to grip the bare phone.It's MUCH easier to remove the case/slip it back on than a traditional OtterBox. Also, wireless charging works through the case so no need to take the case off for that.I gave the case a 4 for value because the normal price shows as $50. $50 for a one piece case sounds too expensive. I bought the case on sale for $32 and if it provides the same superior protection that my previous case did then I'd give it a 5 for that price.I will amend this review in a month.

The phone case does what I need it to do. It's not water proof or anything but the edges are a lil sharp. When I hope the phone in my hand, where it rest on my pinky where the charging port is.. It's a lil sharp. Makes it uncomfortable to hold. That is all. The last Motorola edge I cracked the screen from a corner drop. I didn't have this case. Dropped it again with this case but a new moto edge and there was no cracks

This case Will NOT FIT the new Verizon Motorola Edge plus 5G. Had to return and purchase a different item.Otherwise was a nice case.

It doesn't look like much and just clips on the back. It's what you would expect from OtterBox though. I've dropped my phone several times and I'm never worried with this case on it. Excellent protection, but we'll see how well it holds up over time. All of the OtterBox cases I've owned have protected my phones better than any other case, but they don't last that long before they start to fall apart. That's the only con to Otterboxes.

The first two I got were okay for about a year. Then the sides started coming loose. This last one said in the description NEW. It seems more like a poorley re-conditioned item. The sides don't feel as though they are going to make it a year. DO NOT buy this.

I’m glad this case fitted good .very sturdy and snuggled to my phone . I recommend Better than the temper glass I got for it .

Nice well built case, a bit pricey though, but not much of a grip on the side since it's a Moto edge+ and there's not much material on the sides because of the screen but plenty of protection so drops for the most part shouldn't be a issue

Busque y busque el case para mi celular hasta que di con este, me pareció un poco caro sin embargo vale la pena, a pesar de que no es un case ligero no agrega tanto volumen a mi equipo, desde que se lo puse se me ha caído ya un par de veces y no ha habido nada que lamentar, protege muy bien el teléfono, sin duda un producto de excelente Calidad

Bueno producto , la carcasa le queda super bien al celular aparte que lo cuida bastante tiene un aspecto muy bueno, le puse 4 estrellas solo por el precio que se me hace algo elevado.

Buena calidad el material si es resistente solo que hubiera estado mejor un poco más de protección en las cámaras

The reason why they get two stars I'll tell you exactly why I mean everybody says the OtterBoxes are the best cases ever right well then tell me why on the sides they were falling apart I mean they're supposed to be really strong but it was falling apart I had to glue it and I wasn't happy

The case seems sturdy enough however it is a little awkward to hold one handed due to the curved screen. Every app I have used that takes advantage of the curved screen only extends part way around the edge of the phone. I would therefore prefer that the case came part way up the edge glass and I think this would make the case a lot more functional.
