Q: Can this be used indoors?

This model is not recommended for indoor use.

Q: Will this catch fire like the bug zappers and burn out because bugs are stuck to to the zapper?

*No.* This device doesn't have a "zapper" (an electrified wire mesh or screen with a transformer) that uses high voltage to arc or electrocute insects. It lures insects int the trap with a UV lamp and then uses a fan to move the insects into a holding chamber at the bottom of the trap. So, no "zapping" arcing or burning.

Q: Is there an imediate benefit in using the trap on an intermittant basis? Will be used at a summer home without electricity if we are not there.

While you will still see some benefits, for best results, this trap is intended for 24/7 use.
