An old chilihead's new favorite hot sauce
On tasting, you can detect the ascorbic (citrus) and acetic acid (vinegar), a very "bright", fresh taste. It isn't insanely hot, but not "mild" by any means either. It definitely has some kick. Unlike many other peppers the burn goes away pretty quickly to just a general and pleasant warming and tingling of the palate. A very unique sauce, if you enjoy hot sauces you owe it to yourself to try it, it's very good with great flavor. Chiltepin peppers haven't been eaten since 7500 BC for nothing. I like the top that has a small hole so you can put just a few drops if you wish. Will definitely buy again.

Very good flavor. Would like to see it in salsa. But make it a lot hotter.
I like the flavor very well. Would like to get one that’s hotter this is a little on the mild side. But very flavorful.

Incredible value for a 6 pack!
Listen, this would be good on corn flakes, Ok. LOL And anything else that needed a little pop of flavor. Def the best deal on this site. Word.

Pretty good, but...
These are good, but not as good as the reviews make them seem. They all taste pretty generic to be honest, but I'll still enjoy them.Green Habanero: This tastes exactly like it sounds. It has a good habanero flavor without a ton of heat. The artificial bright green color is a little off-putting.Orange Habanero: Tastes like habanero with a little heat.Picante Negra: This is black sauce that tastes exactly like beef bouillon. Not sure what this would be good with. Maybe in a sauce or chili that you want to add beef flavoring to or maybe a french dip sandwich. Perhaps I'll mix some with horseradish mayo and put it on a steak philly....that actually sounds pretty good.7 Mares: I don't know how to describe this one. The flavor is very lite. The bottle says it's for seafood, and honestly, that's the only way I could describe the flavor. You'll have to taste it to understand. Not sure what else this could be used for.Chile De Arbol: This one has an authentic mexican flavor, almost like tapatio or cholula mixed with taco bell hot sauce. I like all of those, so that's not a bad thing.

Great sauce but bottles have an issue
Hot sauce is great. Lots of heat but not a lasting burn that hurts. You can use enough to get good flavor but you don’t have to overuse. The small bottle will last. The bottles have a small flaw though. Be careful when you shut the lid. A Small bit of sauce will spray out if you don’t put your hand over the top. Not good in the eyes. Probably user error but if the company can use different caps…

Mother of all chilies
The Chiltepin pepper is considered the mother of all peppers, and is very unique. The Chiltepin is quite hot, and in Mexico, the heat of the pepper is considered “arrebatado” which means “rapid” or “violent” because the intense heat is not long lasting, unlike many chili peppers that have a slower and more enduring effect. This is really great because you can control how much heat you want and when…and it doesn’t fry your taste buds. Just love this stuff!

Still a good tasting sauce for the money!
I've been using this sauce for nearly 20yrs, it's very tasty on "most" foods! The only thing I've noticed over the years is that the heat level seems to have dropped a fair bit from when I first found it. (If you like spicy, this heat might currently rate about a 3.5, if not so much maybe about a 6?) The rub is the unmolested Habenaro flavor! It's not as spicy as it used to be IMO, but the flavor is great & not snuffed out by vinegar, or similarly used sauce pairings.....an excellent sleeper sauce that hasn't gotten enough attention & wont break the bank like some of the more popular gimmick sauces. If you like Habenaro flavor, I'm sure you'll like this sauce!
