High quality item, easy to install
This often seems to be of high quality, exactly as advertised. It arrived much sooner than I expected. It includes a plastic anchor for installations that require them, but I was installing into cedar siding. I installed the catcher in the shutters first, at the desired vertical alignment with the siding, then marked their location on the siding, and installed the acorn bullet posts. Very simple, looks great and holds firm.

Does what it was designed to do
I was finally motivated to install these during recent storms when the wind started blowing our shutters away from the brick and slamming them shut. The painters couldn't believe that I had working shutters, they are unusual here, most are just decorative. Anyway, the original owner of the home had simply put concrete nails through the wood of the shutters and into the mortar between the bricks. That left a mess. I figured these would be a better solution.I used a 5/16" masonry bit and hammer drill to make the hole, put in the plastic inserts, then drove the bullet catch into the insert with a socket on my electric driver. That resulted in a secure mount of the bullet portion.I then aligned, as best I could, the spring portion of the catch on the back of the shutter so that it would strike the bullet. I was two out of four on the first try. The other two I had to take a second stab at because it was a little intolerant of any misalignment. Once I got them centered, they worked like a champ. I did NOT need to expand the clips for them to work. They were just perfect and hold tight. When I just held the clips in my hands, before they were mounted, I thought them too tight. Not true; they work prefect when attached, due to the momentum and weight of the shutters. If they were looser, they would probably not hold the shutters securely in the wind.My only complaint was that they make the shutters stand out further from the wall than we are used to. I'm a little concerned that birds or other critters might decide to make their nests behind my shutters now. But, all-in-all, I am pleased.

They do not rust...
Work well, very heavy duty and pretty easy to install. Have bought several of these and use them in a number of places. All work as they should! Recommended!

This is a sturdy "heavy duty" product!
This is a well built product. It will not rust. The workmanship is excellent. It is no trouble to install, and once installed, it is very durable.

EXACTLY what I needed, GREAT PRICE, arrived many days early!
My contractor used these clips to secure wooden shutters to my brick house. They were the third option I tried and they work perfectly. I needed hardware that allowed the shutters to be easily removed to be painted and all of the shutter dogs I saw were either too decorative or they didn't allow easy shutter removal. The package arrived at least a week earlier than what the estimate had been. VERY SATISFIED!

Put bullet on wall first, catch on the bullet and trace where to position the catch on the shutter.
I liked that they were hidden when shutters were open. The 5/16th drill bit was the correct size for the bullet screw plastic insert insertion.I did find it challenging to properly align the position of the catch on the shutter so that it matched the placement of the bullet on the wall. This was made more difficult by my choice to arrange the catch in a horizontal position such that the shutter corner gained structural support from the catch. Even when I was off though there was enough play in the catch spring that I could get it to bend enough to let the bullet seat into the catch. This misalignment problem only occurred when I put the catch first on the shutter and then installed the bullet on the wall second. No misalignment occurred when I installed the bullet in the wall first, put the catch onto the bullet, brought the shutter to the wall, traced the location of the catch on the shutter with a marker and then attached the catch to the shutter. In hind sight I should have done this for all shutters despite the slightly extra time it took.I really like look of the final results. Much cleaner than shutter dogs. We will see how they stand up to the elements.

Great product.
Meant for outdoors but I used them for inside plantation shutters. Try to mount to a stud and not dry wall. Open the clamp or clasp a bit with pliers. Works very well and not obtrusive. Great product.
