The Walking Dead: The Pop-Up Book

I bought this as a gift for my partner a while back and to this day anyone who sees this book sitting around her place gets intrigued by it. A great gift for any walking dead fan.

Book was in good condition, all pieces functioned and really fun to look and remember. I wanted this book badly when it was first released so was very happy with it!Be aware that though there are many zombies and great scenes, there are no pics of TWD characters. But it's a really neat tour of the first season or two.

Details are amazing

This book is a hilarious, but amazing piece of "paper engineering". The amount of clever folding, the art on the paper, and how it's all put together is amazing, and really inspires artistically-minded folk (and Zombie fans). Even if you're not into The Walking Dead, the sheer amount of work put into just one page of this pop-up book will make you want to learn more. The pop-up paper-engineering is intricate, but clean, and doesn't rip or tear by accident, as many pop-up books do. They are all done really well. If you've watched the series, you will see all of your favorite scenes from season 1 and 2. It's a fun book for adults and teenage kids.

My dad is a HUGE "The Walking Dead" fan - I am always thankful when the graphic novel collected volumes are released around major holidays because they are now my "go to" gifts for him. I read about this book on an entertainment site and thought he would LOVE it for Christmas. He did. I have honestly never seen such detail and effort put into a pop up book before in my life. It must have taken the authors so much time to put all of the fun pull outs and actions together. It is definitely not a pop up book for kids though. It has some very graphic/bloody scenes in it.

I would not normally use the word intense to describe a pop up book that that is the first one that comes to mind. The writer/designer took great care to bring the childhood fun of a pop-up book to the spine tingling horror that is the walking dead. I did not realize the ride I was going to be embarking on until I opened that first page and was literally slapped by a walker. The detail is amazing, and the pop ups are huge. I would recommend this to any fan of the walking dead, as well as fans of something different as I have not had as much fun with a book in quite some time!

I got this book for my husband for a Christmas gift.Of corse since the book was new it was back ordered, but it arrived in time.He did love it, the book was nicely assembled, the art and pop ups were awesome looking. I liked that each pop up portrayed memoriable things.This is something to keep on the coffee table for others to look at when visiting. We have had several friends play with it when over.We do though have to keep it out of kids hands.. As our toddler has almost ripped it.

Great coffee table book/horror kitsch for grown-ups. I've had it for over 6 months now and everyone that comes over loves to grab it and play with it. Even with all the handling (and a few spills), it's held up well--this isn't made with cheap material, but some care does need to be taken when folding some of the pop-ups back into their pockets like another reviewer noted. While the price seems high for such a short book, the images are large, detailed and gory with plenty of pop-ups within pop-ups. Its a fun gift for horror or walking dead fans.
