I bought this shower chair to use when I travel locally by car. It's hard to find a good chair that folds or comes apart easily to be compact enough for travel, which is also sturdy and can support a high weight limit. This chair fits the bill. The chair I was using previously for travel has legs that fold, but it was quite bulky and awkward to carry. It also had no back and could easily tip over if you leaned the wrong way. This chair solves all of those problems. The legs don't fold, but they are pretty easy to remove and insert. It has a back which folds down. So it's pretty easy to pack this up in a shopping bag. And it's pretty lightweight to carry. Also, it's very sturdy to sit on. It doesn't tip or wobble at all. It supports up to 300 pounds, which gives me great peace of mind that it will stand strong.The dimensions are 34.5 inches wide by 18 inches deep by 21 inches high. And the leg height is adjustable, although some of the buttons were a little stiff, so it took a little bit of effort to hold the buttons while pulling the leg bottom. It comes with 2 side support handles. However, I was happy to read the review that suggested that it might be better to only insert one of the side handles if you are a little "wide bodied". So I only did install the left handle and that works well for me. It still gives me some support for sitting and standing, but it also gives me enough room to sit. I think I would have been unhappy if I had installed both handles and had to squeeze between them. And the handles are very difficult to remove once you've inserted them. So the handle makes it a little bulkier for travel, but not too bad.I'm sure this chair would be fine to use every day at home also, but I already have a chair in my home shower that I'm happy with. It's nice to have this chair as backup.

I bought this for my mom along with a handheld shower head to bathe her while recovering from heart surgery. It was a life saver. Mom was able to sit comfortably and hold onto the arms for added support getting in and out of bath. I was able to shampoo her head and scrub with no issues. Super easy to clean as well as the seat has drain holes. My mom now wants one for my aging grandmother.

To assist me in the shower, the seat will get very slippery with any bath products. It doesn't come with a slip pad. You will have to use a towel or buy one separately.

I work in healthcare and this is the shower chair I recommend the most to patients and families. It has a narrower base than most chairs and will fit inside the majority of standard tubs and walk in showers with no problem. The legs are easy to adjust, and has backrest and arm rests for additional support. The seat is also wide enough to fit most people comfortably. Definitely a good choice for safety and support in the shower.
