NV Georgetown Vineyards American Blackberry Wine 750 mL Fruit Wine

Received order quickly from Georgetown Vineyards. We are coming from the point of view of loving sweet Muscadine wine. Naturally, we shouldn't be too surprised that this Blackberry wine turned out to be not exactly what we were looking for. Disappointed. At room temperature, we found the wine to not be sweet enough and with an unpleasant dry, almost bitter bite on the end. Nice aroma and blackberry flavor. Hard to drink by itself, alone. It would probably be better served chilled and accompanied by food. It may be very useful in cooking. Unfortunately, will not order again. (Now worried about the lack of adequate sweetness factor of the untasted G.V. Apple wine we also ordered.)

This is not a high quality berry wine. However, I used it for dessert cooking and it is great for that. Stick with the lower shelf wines at the grocery store.

It was ok Not what I was looking for

Wife likes this wine better than the Duplin Sweet Sox Red. Very nice aroma and flavor.

Not overly sweet or too bitter. Twist off cap.
