Amanda Uprichard Women's Silk Gown Maxi Dress

I needed to find a formal dress to wear to an awards ceremony for my husband. Not only was this event across the country, I'd also be meeting all of his coworkers for the very first time. Oh yeah, and I was 6 months pregnant.I literally tried on 50+ dresses before this one came to the rescue. All of the maternity dresses looked horrible (I also hated the idea of spending $150-$300 I'd probably never wear again), and nothing I found in department stores at the mall would work with my growing belly. Finally, I read a suggestion that I should try an empire waist style in my non-pregnant size. I ordered several from Amazon and this one was absolutely perfect.The silk material and basic styling is dressy enough to be formal OR casual (just added jewelry and a sparkly wrap). The elastic in the back allowed the dress to stretch to fit my tummy, but will definitely still fit after I have the baby - so I'll get to wear this dress again and again! I was comfortable all night. The neckline is a bit low cut, but the straps can be adjusted to accommodate. I didn't have to wear a bra - which was a huge bonus!Overall, I highly recommend this dress and look forward to trying more designs from Amanda Uprichard.

Love this color and the style! Fit is snug through the chest, but allows for ample room with the smoked panels in the back. The gentle pleats along the front camouflage and "mummy tummy" you may have! It is a tad long, even in heels/wedges, so I had it hemmed and it's now perfect for a dressier event!

Beautiful color, wearing it to my baby shower. Had to tweak the back a bit because my boobs are too tight in it but totally worth it, especially for the price I paid for a silk dress ($80)

My daughter who is very picky indeed, was absolutely delighted with this dress. It is simple, well cut and looks sooo elegant on. The actual photo does not do it justice.
