Finally I can get decent sleep on a plane!
For years I have searched for a plane pillow that would allow me to comfortably get some shut eye on my flights. I am notorious for staying up all night the night before a flight prepping (instead of doing things ahead of time like a responsible adult), and this often leaves me sleepy by take off. I love nothing more than snoozing the entire flight and this neck support is the first "pillow" type product that has allowed me to truly sleep upright without that dreaded mid-sleep drift into your seat neighbor or too far forward. The brace feature is flexible yet supportive so you can adjust it to get the perfect angle to allow for comfortable napping and the compact design makes it way less cumbersome to tote in your personal item/carryon. Overall this was a win purchase.

Soft and comfy Good cervical support
Four stars only because I haven’t tested it on a long flight yet, but I suspect this thing is gonna be a five star product. Unlike other travel pillows, this one provides actual support, holding your head in a comfortable position with your neck in better alignment as compared to the extreme lateral cervical flexion that occurs with traditional travel pillows. Simple, thin, light design should easily pack in a carry on bag and the cover is nice and soft. Can’t wait for my next holiday to give it a real go!

Game changer for travel and just for reading!
This pillow is a game changer for me! Took me a few minutes to figure it out but once I watched the videos I was able to use the neck piece in multiple different positions. I used it on my recent flight and slept more comfortably than I had on any other plane trip! I’ve started using it while just while I'm reading and even while I’m knitting. It was really easy to wash the wrap and it’s been holding up so well, I’m not sure why there are so many complaints about quality. I also took a hint from a friend and bought the original and it’s the perfect size for me and is so cozy and thick, my husband will need the cooling version though since it’s a bit bigger.

A Struggle Between Comfort and Circulation
I wanted to love the Trtl Travel Pillow. really, I did. The promise of a scientifically engineered, ultra-supportive neck brace (sorry, “pillow”) that would finally allow me to sleep on a plane without waking up feeling like I lost a fight with the overhead bin was too good to pass up. Unfortunately, after several flights of dedicated testing, I can confidently say this: if you enjoy the sensation of being in a very mild, travel-sized guillotine, this is the product for you. The “Support” Dilemma The concept is clever. You wrap it around your neck, lean into the hidden support, and drift off into blissful, ergonomic slumber. The reality? The only way this thing provides any meaningful support is if you cinch it so tightly that you start questioning your blood flow situation. At optimal “support” level, I found myself teetering between “mildly uncomfortable” and “Is this what a giraffe feels like in a turtleneck?” If you loosen it even slightly, it becomes a $60 piece of fabric wrapped around your neck for no reason at all. And if you tighten it enough to actually hold your head up, congratulations! You now have a built-in pulse-checking device because your body will let you know very quickly when your carotid artery has had enough. In-Flight Performance My hope was to finally achieve that elusive, graceful plane nap. Instead, I spent most of my flight adjusting, readjusting, and questioning my life choices as my seat neighbor side-eyed my increasingly desperate attempts to make it work. The “lean and sleep” motion they advertise? More like “lean, start losing feeling in your jaw, panic, readjust, repeat.” The Verdict For those with an iron will, a tolerance for slight oxygen deprivation, and perhaps a slimmer neck than mine, this might work. For the rest of us? Save your money and go back to the classic awkward head-tilt-against-the-window method or invest in a real neck pillow. Or better yet, just accept that air travel is inherently uncomfortable and move on. Final Rating: 2/5 Stars – Points for innovation, deducted for it being a personal tourniquet for the worst possible location

Needs more R&D and a material upgrade.
The good: it did help me sleep on my 10-hour flight. It felt cozy to be wrapped up in it. The bad: The travel pouch that the neck support goes into fell apart during the first leg of the first flight I used it on. The strap that allows the pillow to clip on to your other bags just tore right off with completely normal use. For the price this shouldn't happen. I had to get a separate tote to keep it in for the rest of the trip. The device itself is designed for people with a longer neck than mine, so if you have a short neck, it's not that comfortable. It still worked, but was like a turtleneck pulled partway up my face. It's also a bit cumbersome to wrap the scarf around and find the right spot to velcro. This could be a challenge for anyone with limited arm/shoulder mobility. Speaking of velcro, the velcro closure of the travel pouch is industrial strength, so it was a battle every time to get the pillow out of it. No joke, it was like trying to pry open the jaws of a pitbull. Lastly, the material feels very cheap — like dollar store fleece. Not very nice against the skin. I think I will wear a nicer scarf under it next time. Or since I have to sew a new bag for it, maybe I will just sew an entirely new cover for the device itself. Which is a lot of work for something so pricey.

Love this neck support
This was perfect for both my 16 hour international flights. Sturdy but also comfortable. And, it fits nicely in a personal item bag or carry on bag.

Tried this out for the first time for a nine hour flight last week - it's a neck pillow. So it's never going to be anywhere like a normal sleep, unlike the ads like to make you believe. But for a neck pillow it's definitely the least bad I have ever tried. I like the way it sits like a scarf, it's light and easier to attach to a backpack then a traditional neck pillow, and it does provide lots more support than a normal neck pillow. Before the trip, I tried it on just for watching TV at home and actually thought it was so comfy I kept it on for a while to doze a little. It looks a bit more stylish than a neck pillow too. I recommend it, though I think it's still very expensive for what is essentially a scarf and a piece of plastic.
