Great small knife for an unbeatable price
If you're looking for a small folding knife, you really can't go wrong at this price point. Classic style and good quality. The knife arrived sharp and the folding action is smooth. The locking mechanism is secure, but not too hard to unlock. Blade only wiggles a very tiny amount when opened. I bought this one along with a few other knives for evaluation (and because I have a weakness for buying knives), and this one is my favorite of the small ones. I will likely buy a few more to throw in the glovebox, for gifts, etc. I personally have big hands and usually wear jeans with big pockets, so my everyday knife is significantly larger, but this would make a great everyday knife where a small size is more important, and it's cheap enough to easily replace if it gets lost or damaged.

Great knife for a great price
Great knife for a great price! Has nice heft to it and sits well in the hand. Edge is good and sharp and the blade feels sturdy for cutting through tough stuff. I use it to open boxes all day and work and then use to break down the boxes to dispose of easier. Also did a new install of some audio equipment in my car and it came it handy several times for cutting through plastic and nylon wire wraps. And also awesome for doing manly stuff like picking the grit from out under my nails. Would definitely recommend if you just need a basic yet well built, everyday carry knife in your pocket.

I might just buy another one ...
I love this little knife! Incredibly sharp and the wood and brass handle is made in a most excellent fashion … I carry it with me everywhere and it never feels like a hassle. It’s big enough to handle all the little jobs that seem to come up through the day ... packaging being what it is these days! Most of the time I don’t even bother trying to “open at this notch” or “tear here” and just pull this guy out of that little pouch pocket in my jeans. It’s a quality product from a company that’s been around forever. I might! buy another one just for the hell of it!

Great knife for a Scout
I am tickled pink by the idea that a true blue American brand and icon like Winchester has their product manufactured and produced in China. It was the first thing I noticed about this knife even before I opened it. The knife came pre-sharpened and is easy to keep sharp. They used genuine faux wood and real imitation brass for its fittings. The blade locks quick and even and the push-button releases the blade so you can close it. You'll have to be gentle the first dozen or so closings because the button is hard to push at first and if you're not careful, the blade will runaway. Runaway straight into your finger. I know this because I did it. Twice. I bought it for my kid who's got his whittling chip for Cub Scouts. It's a perfect starter knife for a boy his age. I had to help him loosen up the button so he could learn how to close the knife on his own per the Cub Scout badge requirements. The knife gets 4 stars for the origin of manufacturing country but asides from that, it's a great knife.

Rad as Heck
Really awesome and well-made knife. Opening it the first time is a bit difficult, you might want to watch a video on how to open a folding knife if this is your first time. After a few goes, it loosens up. Perfect for teens in the scouts or someone who enjoys the outdoors. It's pretty sharp, though, so be careful. I used it while camping and it fits easily in my pocket - so small you might not remember its even there. Oops. Also: if you live in the DC area and you accidentally bring it to school, it's within the legal size and you won't be arrested.

my review
This knife has a good number of 5 star reviews and since I was looking for a new pocket knife, I ordered it. I join the many others now and give it 5 stars as well. The blade came with a sharp edge and the handle design creates a comfortable hold. It is a quality build even though you may think otherwise due to the low price. I use it all the time to do things like open boxes, cut string or rope, remove staples, and use the sharp point for poking. I consider myself a tough critic but have a difficult time finding anything negative on this product.

Nice knife!
Great value $ + good looking pocketknife, solidly built comes with a sharp blade that crisply snaps to a sturdy locked out position. The knife is still very new, so the durability remains to be tested but so far this knife is a winner.

Cheap knife; adequate quality
Pros: 1) This knife is inexpensive. 2) The knife has good weight and size. 3) The knife is easy to open but not so loose it comes open in your pocket. It locks open firmly with no blade wriggle. Cons: 1) The blade was very dull. 2) The wood could use a bit more lacquer. Both of these cons can be addressed with TLC. I have greatly increased the blade sharpness and adding lacquer made the wood shine more and helped seal it a little better. This knife would be a good starter knife to teach a child (of reasonable age) basic knife care, safety, and handling techniques.
