You are the Magical ingredient!
This is my Favorite cookbook! It isn't just in having the recipes for those many Culinary delights found at the Parks. As it is for me, and I'm sure for countless others. It's Those Magical memories shared, that comes with each fairy dusted morsel enjoyed.Memories of shooting star like Fireworks, thrill filled adventures, holding each other in the brisk nights chill , while gazing at the illuminated rainbow Castle lights , listening to The Candlelight Procession, or finding that one amazing Disney Sovenior. As a past Cast Member, many of those food venues I had the greatest pleasure of my life ,and honor to work at in Disneyland and California Adventure. For now, tho the Parks are closed temporarily, all the tastes bring back those Magical moments of guests i met, and their smiles and laughter enjoyed i treasure now more than ever so dearly. .I pray that that same Magic shall be extended in your other Happiest place , right in your own kitchen. Family is everything. The directions are easy to follow, plenty of color photos and altho an unofficial Disney Parks Cookbook. Still holds up to Disney standards. With pages to guide you through.Theres a list of needed Cooks essentials, Recipes, as Churros, Beignets, Mint Juleps, Crepes, Clam Chowder, Blue and Green Milks, Mickey Pretzels, Frozen Chocolate Covered Bananas, Corn Dogs, Dole Whip, Mickey Waffles and flavored PopCorns... with yet Much, Much More.I'm sure there will be many a smile more added in homes using this Cookbook..Maybe, even a hidden Mickey?Praises to those who took the time and talents to bring together.

Much like a trip to Disney
Much like a trip to Disney, this cookbook is great provided that you manage your expectations going into it and plan ahead for what you want out of it.First let me address the most important thing - the Dole Whip recipe in this book! It is different than the copycat version that Disney released a couple of years back. This Dole Whip recipe is very good, and if I had gotten the book for that alone, I would be more than happy with my purchase! Now for what I mean by managed expectations… this book is not a test-kitchen, celebrity-chef, or a culinary institute level collection of recipes. Any more than a trip to Epcot is equivalent to traveling the world. With that said, all the recipes that I have made have been pretty good. As for planning ahead, some recipes require special ingredients or tools (Mickey Mouse cookie cutter) but nothing too difficult or too expensive. Additionally, I would be prepared to tweak some of the recipes to personal tastes, but then again, isn’t that true for almost all cookbooks. Here are the things that I can attest to from my own experience. I made the Bacon Mac & Cheese Hot Dogs, and the mac and cheese recipe was just right - creamy, easy, and simply good. My husband and son loved the Roasted Turkey Legs, and I loved how easy they were to make. The Pizza Egg Rolls and Cheeseburger Egg Rolls were a little dry in the fillings, but dipping sauces fixed that. I made the Loaded Buffalo Chicken Tots, and then I used the leftover buffalo chicken as well as leftover egg roll wrappers, added cream cheese and blue cheese crumbles to make Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls too. The Beignets were fine, but next time I will use an actual NOLA recipe even if I do cut them into mouse shapes. The sugar cookies were very good – an easy to handle dough that yielded a pleasantly soft and buttery cookie – this may actually become my go-to sugar cookie recipe. The recipe that I haven’t made yet but I’m looking forward to is the School Bread from the Norway Pavilion.Beyond the recipes, the book is fun to read. Lots of little tidbit information about the parks and plenty of colorful photos. On the whole, I am glad that I bought this book.

Good recipes.
Granddaughter wanted this for Christmas and has already tried several recipes from it. She loves looking at all the options and comparing recipes to the actual foods she's eaten at Disney.
