Great images from the show. I thought it would be creepy to have coloring images of real people, but the artwork is very well done. Super details, and lots of space to color without it being too fussy. I love it.

This coloring book is beautifully made. Keep in mind, those reading, that it's not like the coloring book you would give a child. Coloring books like these are intricate, and should the owner choose to color them, they are actually intended to make for good stress relief. I'm a HUGE Sherlock fan, so when I heard this was coming out I had to get it. I love it, and it's really very beautiful, and smooth to the touch. I would definitely recommend this! Makes a great gift for any Sherlock fan!

Attached to this review will be a silent flip-through of the entire coloring book so you can make an informed decision as to whether or not it will work for you. Rather than discuss how this is like or different from the TV series, I will discuss only how I feel about it as an adult coloring book. While the book has great designs, it also has a number of issues that make it difficult to work with. I dithered between a three star and four star rating but went with four because the designs are really extraordinarily good. The designs are fantastic for coloring. They are well drawn with a nice level of detail where I want it and a lack of detail where I would prefer to add my own shading, etc. It feels a little weird to be coloring the faces of actual individuals (and those who have spent many an hour in my house albeit on my television screen.) Using the coloring tools that will work best with this book, I will have fun with it. Maybe do a little Andy Warhol riff with unusual colors on some of the characters. Physically, the book is well made. The front and back covers flip out with a scene of London that can be colored. The designs are printed on both sides of the page. The pages are a good heavyweight and white; however, they are not perforated. The sewn rather than glued, so removing the pages from the book involves snipping several strings in a couple of places. Most of the designs span across two pages and merge into the binding. Though I will remove the pages from the book, it may be difficult to line up pages and that makes coloring in this book less fun. As there are so many of these designs that will be effected, I have detracted a star from an otherwise good book. My particular book had two issues which may not be in others. On a number of pages, my double sided images did not line up. That happens sometimes. The other problem with my book was that there were four rippled pages. Amazon is replacing my book as it was obviously damaged in printing. I am not taking away points for this as mistakes can happen and it is being fixed for me. All of my markers, both water and alcohol-based, leaked through the page. None of my gel pens bled through to the back of the page. My colored pencils all worked well on the surface of the paper. Given this, I would not recommend using markers in this book if you want to color each page as you will definitely ruin the design on the back of the page otherwise. In summary, a coloring book filled with great designs but which has a number of physical issues. The book could have been improved in a number of ways, such as printing on one side only and if not, using a better grade of paper which allows markers to be used without seeping through to the backside. Perforated pages would have been nice. But the real improvement would have been to have less designs that span two pages. If you must do this, 1) make sure the images line up properly and 2) give us some room at the bound edge to be able to get our pencils and pens in to draw.

This is a really fun coloring book for FANS of the show. A good way to burn off some stress and have some fun coloring with your favorite consulting detectives. The split scenes aren't that much of a bother and the scenes chosen for the books are absolutely brilliant. A must have for fans!

I purchased this as a gift for my daughter, but I have colored in it as well. The pictures are quite true to life and if you are a Sherlock fanatic like we are, you'll love this item. The whole book is very high quality and well worth the price. It made a wonderful gift and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for that unique item for their favorite Sherlock Fan.

The line art in this book can be rather annoying at times. They have line art for every part of the body that should be shaded, every part of clothing that should be a darker color etc. Instead of just allowing me to color a face, I now have lines all over it of where there should be a darker shade of skin here, maybe lighter over there, add some blush here..it's tedious. Plus the layout was not done well. Some images span two pages and the image gets cut in half with the binding, making it impossible to color and also ruining some of the pictures. Still, worth while to color as you also have to find hidden objects, but it is a bit disappointing.

This is a great high-quality product and has beautiful intricate pictures to color. The only issue was my nervousness to get everything just perfect! I loved the attention to detail, and how the pictures looked exactly like the characters. The illustrator did a wonderful job. Worth every penny!

I haven't done any coloring activities since childhood and was amazed by the amount of books now available for adults. However, none of them met my expectations since I am not interested in mandalas or zen themes - and then, lo and behold, this coloring book about my favorite TV show became available! It is a beautiful book filled with realistic drawings of our favorite duo, Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson. Mike Collins has done a fantastic job in recreating the 'Sherlock' mind palace with drawings filled with details and look-alike characters. It is a pleasure to pick up my pencils and bring to life, one color after another, those marvelous images. Wonderful!

Das Buch ist sehr liebevoll gemacht, meine nerdige Tochter hat es (genauso wie Doctor Who: The Colouring Book) sofort ins Herz geschlossen. Der Farbdruck der Muster ist aus einem Metallic Lack und macht das Softcover sehr wertig. Die Seiten sind (anders als beim Doctor Who Buch) beidseitig mit Malvorlagen bedruckt, das ergibt zwar mehr Ausmalmotive, aber uns haben die Zitate im Who Buch besser gefallen.

È un libro veramente bello e curato. A differenza di tanti altri libri da colorare per adulti la qualità delle pagine è molto alta, perciò il colore non passa! Sono veramente soddisfatta e lo consiglio a tutti i fan della serie.

Challenging adult coloring book that's a treat especially for fans of the series, but for anyone who desires a coloring challenge. Only one concern -that the images are on both sides of each page which makes using inks or markers problematic (ink bleed). Am solving this by buying second copy and coloring on alternate pages!
