So far this has been a great addition

Package including 250g of Pure Pomegranate Extract (40% Ellagic Acid) powder is fairly large and includes 332 servings. Unfortunately this supplement needs to be mixed with something else (in my opinion) as it does not have the greatest taste. It also does not dissolve well in water and it comes down to the bottom of the glass if you let it sit for a few minutes. Overall I am enjoying it and would recommend it!

An Ellagic acid source to supplement the real thing
Pomegranate is a very versatile herb primarily for its antioxidant properties. Emphasis here is on the word "Pomegranate" which is a fruit, not a powder. Now, you will find many companies and sources citing the following published results from the Hollings Cancer Institute by Dr. Daniel Nixon:<(40 mg of ellagitannins) prevents the development of cancer cells. At low concentrations, it slows the growth of cancer cells; at higher concentrations, it tells cancer cells to kill themselves. For example, cells infected with the human papilloma virus (which is linked to cervical cancer), when exposed to ellagic acid experienced apoptosis, or normal cell death.>What you will not find is the fact that the 40mg of ellagitannins are derived from consuming a cup of raspberries. The same applies here. It is not the acid, which is synthesized by your body through digesting the berry, or in this case pomegranate, it is the fruit itself that is able to transport the beneficial compound into the body in a manner that is useful. That said, I have used this particular product for under two weeks and I cannot give a definite review on how it affects my system as of yet. I do know I feel some positive effect, but I can't attribute this to a particular antioxidant as I take quite a few (both synthetic and artificial). Which brings me to my actual point. You should literally take this to supplement your servings of berries and fruits known to contain a high concentration of antioxidants. My theory on cancer is that it is linked to body toxicity. The liver is responsible for regulating body toxicity and it does so with the help of many nutrients from the diet. One of which is the subject matter here, ellagitannins. Improper functioning of the liver, resulting from a lack of proper diet, and care of the body, will ultimately result in the formation of cancerous centers.Take care of your body. Learn how to use it and maintain it properly.I can only recommend this supplement as just that, a supplement to the actual thing.I've also included information I found off the web (webmd.com) about pomegranate. These are not 'scientifically' proven, but you can run your own personal experiments.====Pomegranate has been used for thousands of years to treat a wide variety of diseases. It is in Greek, Hebrew, Buddhist, Islamic, and Christian mythology and writings. It is described in records dating from around 1500 BC as a treatment for tapeworm and other parasites.Uses:Hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis). Early research suggests that drinking pomegranate juice might help to keep the arteries in the neck (carotid arteries) clear of the build-up of fatty deposits.Clogged arteries (coronary heart disease). Some early research shows that drinking pomegranate juice might improve blood flow to the heart. However, drinking pomegranate juice does not seem to prevent narrowing of blood vessels in the heart (stenosis). Also, there is not enough information to know if drinking pomegranate juice helps to prevent heart disease-related events such as heart attack.Dental plaque. Early research suggests that rinsing with pomegranate extract mouthwash for one minute once or twice daily reduces dental plaque.Erectile dysfunction. Early research shows that drinking pomegranate juice daily for 4 weeks does not improve erectile dysfunction in men.Muscle soreness after exercising. Early research suggests that drinking pomegranate juice twice daily for 15 days reduces muscle soreness after exercising in the elbow but not the knee.High cholesterol (hyperlipidemia). Some studies show that pomegranate juice can lower total cholesterol and “bad” (LDL) cholesterol. However, other studies find no benefit. Pomegranate seed oil, but not pomegranate juice, may improve triglycerides and “good” (HDL) cholesterol levels.High blood pressure (hypertension). Some research shows that drinking 50-200 mL of pomegranate juice daily for up to one year can lower systolic blood pressure (the top number) by 5% to 21%. Also, some research shows that drinking this amount of pomegranate juice can reduce diastolic pressure (the lower number), although other research shows no benefit. Drinking more than 240 mL of pomegranate juice daily does not seem to reduce blood pressure.Metabolic syndrome. Early research suggests that drinking pomegranate juice daily for one month improves blood vessel function in adolescents with metabolic syndrome.Muscle strength. Early research suggests that taking a specific pomegranate extract (POMx) twice daily improves muscle strength recovery after exercise.Obesity. Early research suggests that taking a specific combination product (Xanthigen) containing pomegranate seed oil and brown marine algae reduces body weight in obese women with liver disease.Gum disease. There is some evidence that painting the gum with pomegranate fruit peel extract in combination with gotu kola extract might improve gum disease.Prostate cancer. Early research suggests that drinking pomegranate juice daily for up to 2 years might slow the progress of prostate cancer.Inflamed and sore mouth (stomatitis). Applying a gel containing pomegranate extract to the gums improves symptoms in people with fungal infections in the mouth.Sunburn. Early research suggests that taking pomegranate extract by mouth daily for 4 weeks does not reduce sunburn.Sexually transmitted disease called trichomoniasis. Early research suggests that taking pomegranate extract might clear up trichomoniasis infections in women.Intestinal worm infestations.Diarrhea.Dysentery.Sore throat.Hemorrhoids.Menopausal symptoms.

Very mild flavor. Only 4 stars because there is no data on exact composition and macro breakdown.
I like the product. A good way to get whatever value there is in pomegranate as a supplement. This appears to be "whole fruit" ... peel, pulp, seeds, all of it. Probably more seeds and pulp, less seeds ... although that's mostly based on my perception of the lack of sweetness in the taste. (Also because I suspect that this is produced *after* the seeds are extracted for other purposes ... although I don't really know that for sure.) Research seems to indicate all parts of the pomegranate have (different) value to the user, so I'm not concerned. Two minor complaints to the manufacturer:1) You could clarify if the ingredients are pulp, seed, peel, or whatever ... or just clearly state: "whole fruit"2) you could provide a macronutrient breakdown (protein, carbs, fiber, fat). I asked for this in the questions and you politely noted that this was considered a supplement, not a "food", and so the breakdown wasn't required. I understand, but it will be used in tablespoon amounts (not milligram amounts) ... providing the breakdown would be a nice gesture.

A great value
It tastes good and dissolves into my morning smoothie easily. I take it for the antioxidant and health benefits. My only issue is how long I had to wait but it's on subscription now so I'm good. 5 stars

ZERO ELLAGIC ACID. I Took a TABLESPOON and felt NOTHING except a glucose spike.
TL;DR: Do not buy from this company! ZERO ELLAGIC ACID. I Took an entire TABLESPOON and felt nothing except a glucose spike from the maltodextrin. Their quality has tanked: they Sent Maltodextrin sprinkled with Pomegranate JUICE powder (pink/sweet) claiming it was Pomegranate EXTRACT (brown, bitter). Can't get a refund on Amazon: have to jump through hoops on their website to get a refundI have been a customer of theirs for years but the last few times I ordered I was scammed by them sending things that were NOTHING like the items I have been ordering for years. Poor quality, questionable ingredients, items, and when you fill out a ticket htey send you a long and condescending letter about suppliers that is complete BS and THEN they tell you you have to send the invoice/ customer order pic IN ANOTHER TICKET. 3 hoops to jump through just for a refund. Terrible

LONG LIVE BULKSUPPLEMENTS
I'm an advanced, experienced and fairly knowledgeable lifter. I'm patient and thorough in my research and purchases. I've recently incorporated 5 more (new to me) substances into my pre-workout mix, all from Bulksupplements: Pine Bark Extract, Beet Root Extract, Pomegranite Extract, Longjack extract & Beta Alanine. I paid full price for these and bought them of my own will, based on personal research. I can honestly say that this combination, added to my l citrulline, l arginine, l ornithine, morninga, reseverarol, DIM, boron, potassium citrate, m. pruriens and BCAA's has made a noticeable and WONDERFUL improvement in clean, sustained energy and power in the gym. My workouts are even longer and even more intense and my mood and energy the rest of the day is even better than ever. I HIGHLY reccomend BulkSupplements, all these products mentioned and many more! FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY!
