Just what I needed, will definitely re-order
These chilies are mild and fruity. Dried, so they were perfect for me to grind and use in rubs, soups, chili, etc. I use them to make a killer steak rub, just break off the stem, remove the seeds (or leave them if you would like a bit more of a kick), grind them to dust, and add your other seasonings, salt, pepper. Rub down a steak the day before, let rest overnight in the fridge and grill the next day. VERY tasty! We also love to add these to chili recipes for added flavor.

Smells so divine the dogs love it
Except for the inconvenience of having the flimsy plastic packaging shredded by dogs due to its smell (and risk of contaminating the chiles with canine saliva), it’s an excellent product.

Not returnable, old stock
Dry and old, they crumble when you pick them up. Cooked up acrid and bitter. Found out Amazon doesn't allow returns on these. D'allesandro/woodland foods J3498, lot L2061929 2042435. I ordered some other varieties from El Molcajete and Mi Costenita at the same time and those were very good. Would not recommend this one.Update: I messaged customer service, they cut me a refund. The peppers are in the trash.

Delicious
Just bought my second batch. Once you’ve had these little beauties made into fresh red chili you won't go back to the jar/canned stuff. Amazing flavor!

NOTHING is better than NM red chile sauce!
Wash pods and rip off the stems. Put in a big pot, half full of water. Add 8 garlic cloves, 1 onion-cut into quarters and boil for 20 minutes. Cool. Use your blender to blend about 1/4 of the pot at a time--with the fluid in the pot. Then put straight into a metal strainer--same kind you would use for flour, and press the sauce through with the back of a large spoon. What is left behind are seeds and skin. REPEAT. Add about 1 tsp salt and there you have it! New Mexican Chile sauce! Add to enchiladas, egg burritos, soup etc. No, I'm not givin' out my enchilada recipe for free!!!! LOL

Will not purchase again.
Chilies were so dry they crumbled into pieces. I bought these to make enchilada sauce but was only able to get enough pulp from the chilies to make about 16oz. Chilies were bland with no little flavor.
