These are the best cyclo-cross tires I've ever encountered
These are the best cyclo-cross tires I've ever encountered. On a recommendation from a bike shop, I purchased these at the beginning of the cross season. They grip sand like no other. At the proper inflation, I can crank over roots and rocks with absolute ease. Tire pattern is okay in mud. These aren't the best for super sloppy scenarios, but overall an A+ tire. I also set them up as tubeless and I can run them at super low pressure. I'm talking 20PSI. I find they don't burp at all and maintain their inflation over at least a week of hard riding. Great on the road too at higher pressure.

Great Gravel Racing Tire
This is not my first set of Cross Boss tires, but it is my first set with black sidewalls. I've had several pairs of the tan walled tires. Those always leak sealant through the sidewalls. It is just a characteristic of WTB's light fast rolling tire construction.I went with the blackwall tires because they were a bit cheaper. I fit them to a pair of GRX wheels and used WTB's sealant. I did not have any trouble seating the tires and I did not have any sidewall sealant leaks. I'm not sure if this is the blackwall or if it is just luck-of-the-draw with these tires.I've been running these in Gravel races on my Chumba Terlingua and the have been amazing. They are fast! They roll well on pavement and really shine on hardpack gravel, with a bit of loose atop. They hook up alright in sand but if the sand gets deep, they will spin out.If you ride similar terrain, you'll really be happy with these tires.

To small
Ordered 700x35. Tried to put them on and they were just to small. I'm not knew to installing tires. They looked good. Too bad they were too small to go on the wheel.

Good tire, not for me though
Used it for my entire 2016 cx season. First tire I ever used tubeless, so I think that colored my initial impressions of this tire. It set up easily on stan's grail rim, though I used a compressor. The high-volume felt good. I do have an issue with the sidewalls seeping sealant, as if there are evenly-placed pin-pricks all the way around the sidewall. It's a very slow leak, but somehow the sealant never could close it up and I'd regularly have wet-dots all the way around.Doing some more hill/off-camber work with it before the 2017 season I realized it actually had horrible traction in the grass I usually encounter. The brakes would easily lock it up and start sliding on the grass when others were clearly not having that issue. I thought perhaps I'd worn down the tread, but it's not worn at all, and I've definitely kept pavement riding to a minimum on it. I'm starting to think the knob pattern is just too tight to really bite into thick grass, and I've had much better luck with more aggressive knob patterns (fewer, larger knobs that are distantly spaced).

This is a great CX tire
This is a great CX tire. I purchased this in a 35mm width. I've ridden the tire a few times but have not raced it yet. The grip on this tire is excellent on wet gravel and on dry loose gravel. The tire profile is squared off on the sides and the result is a comparatively large contact patch on the ground. I'm running on Stan's Iron Cross wheels and I'm running tubeless. Mounting for the first time was VERY difficult but when mounted they pumped up and seated on the rim easily. These tires held air with no tubeless sealant.

Delaminates (three tries!)
I tried three times with this tire, each time it was working fine for about a week then it developed a split (twice on the tread and once on the sidewall). The split only went down to the fabric/weave level and then the rubber around the split delaminated about a cm in all directions. I wasn't abusing it or going over sharp things or jumps or anything, just urban streets.I finally gave up on this tire and moved on...

its WONDERFUL that they have a tubeless tire
its WONDERFUL that they have a tubeless tire. I like the tread. My only issue is that the tread is not straight, so when the tire is rolling there is a large wobble as if the rim is bent. My rim is not bent, i removed and installed the tire a number of times to ensure it was seated perfectly. (i.e. hear that large POP sound as it seats nicely), i did this dry and with water and soap.
