Absolutely outstanding! Optics are first class and bright! The scope with the Killflash, scope covers, and Trigicon Bobro quick release mount weigh less than a pound. If your looking to buy an ACOG, you already know they are top of the line. They are battle tough! Highly recommended items to fully complement your ACOG are listed below. Reticles are pretty subjective so I won't comment on them only to say get the red color reticle if you are not set on another color. The Chevron or the Horseshoe reticle allows for the quickest target acquisition. Which ACOG model should you buy is again pretty subjective. They are all top of the line. I like light as possible with the biggest aperture. The 4X power is also easy to hand hold.With the scope covers installed over the Killflash and ONLY opening the front cover, you can shoot with the reticle superimposed on your target. Pretty neat way to shoot if you are shooting close in and don't want any magnification. The assumption is you shoot with both eyes open.Possible concern is the eye relief which is very short but I find not a problem as the .223 has minimal recoil. You have to put your nose close to the charging handle to get your focus. If this is a problem, you might want to consider the TA11 model instead (3.5X, heavier and longer length). I waited FAR too long to decide to bite the bullet and purchase this. Though I knew it was "the one" I just couldn't justify the cost. Well, after two years of stressing over it (yes I waited that long) I finally clicked purchase. My only regret? I should have clicked purchase on day one. This scope is Amazing, everything you could hope for and more. The field of view is unbelievable, the image is absolutely sharp and crisp (so crisp in fact that it nearly feels like it's doing some sort of light amplification (of course it's not, it's just THAT clear!)) and the 4x magnification is perfect.Cons? None. If you want to nitpick you could say that you have to have your nose to the charging handle to stay in the eyebox (which is how you should use an M4 style rifle anyway :P) and the reticule is slightly blurred towards the edges (this is an artifact of how it's built, not the lens) but in practice none of these things make it bad. I've *never* found myself wanting longer eye relief, and neither will you.In short, stop reading this and click purchase. Now. =P

I have been shooting for more than 45 years. I've had Steiner, Bushnell, Burris, Nikon, Leopold, etc. on my rifles. I love this sight for out to 150 yards. Sure it has notches for up to 800 yards, but it is really difficult to see and hold a scope that is only 4 power on anything over 150 yards away. I have 10 and 20 power scopes for that. Anyway, I like the horseshoe reticle. Easy to see and clearer as anything I've ever owned. Seems very sturdy - built like a Surefire flashlight.

This is THE BEST sight for the AR platform, bar none. Yep. It's pricey but holds a zero like granite. Groups at 100 yards are fabulous. Save your $$ and spend it on this one.

Everything which needs to have been said about the ACOG has probably been said: it's rugged, very well made, accurate and successfully serves in countless militaries.I will make two observations:A. If you're not familiar with the BAC (bindon aiming concept), familiarize yourself because you'll be shooting quicker with both eyes open in no time.B. One drawback I found - when in a dark area and observing a lighted area the tritium is hardly noticable and takes time to locate. This leads to longer target acquisition and is potentially dangerous. Otherwise, this is an excellent combat scope.

It’s a Trijicon ACOG! Worth every dollar! Wish I would’ve got this earlier. Took a bit to bite the bullet on this purchase. Clearest glass I’ve ever owned! Best optic I’ve ever owned. This thing is built like a tank!

Another excellent ACOG. Despite the answer to the question below, mine came with the tabs for the RMR sight though I don't feel it is needed. I also have an older TA31 DOC and never use the dot sight. Trijicon makes a great optic. I have never had to re zero my previous ACOG. Great glass. The BDC is an excellent feature. These are costly but unsurpassed.

Regardless of whether your $1k optic comes late, in a damaged box, or even defective, Amazon will NOT under any circumstances allow a return on this product. This is nowhere to be seen when you’re hitting the buy button but will be told to you when you try to return the product. You’re then left trying to work things out with Trijicon. Amazon needs to step up and have an agreed button that there are NO returns on this specific item before the final purchase button is pressed.
