Live at the Purple Rose

Great performance, funny and warm and engaging. Jeff is not only a terrific guitarist and singer, but a wonderful songwriter. I'd recommend he ditch the day job and go entirely with music -- but he's also one of my favorite actors.

Jeff Daniels is a great guitarist! I saw him on CBS Sunday Morning, and decided to buy an album.His guitar work Is amazing, and his voice is good. The words to his songs leave a lot to be desired. They are childish and hokey. If he ever releases an album of only guitar work, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I just put the cd in the Goodwill pile.

This album again has lots of fun songs taken often from Jeff's life and observations. Daddy's Little Daughter, When You're Fifty are two of my favorite. I have to admit I loved the Albums " Grandther's Hat" and " Live and Unplugged" more as they had a larger number of songs and stories that struck a chord with me. Jeff's humor though is truly wonderful . Definitely worth buying and enjoying!

Jeff tells some really funny stories and sings great songs that have real meaning. I would definitely go see him preform if he was in town.

I cannot rate it because I've not listened to it. A friend asked me to buy it for her and I did.

Jeff has a great sense of humor. Music you have to listen to not just background noise.

This guy is truly a singer songwriter who puts you right in his stories. His voice is silky smooth when it should be and gruff and growly when it should be. I'm looking forward to listening to this album over and over.

Another purchase that was for a gift. I don't have any opinion about this, but my friend I gave it to for Christmas loved it. She had seen Jeff Daniels in concert and I thought this would be a good gift. She has listened to it often and really likes it.
