Hot ToysIron Man Mark VII The Avengers 1:6 Scale 12" Figure

this bad boy is everything I wanted and expected in a sculpt like this for an adult premium toy collector. 36 points of articulation, awesome accessories, comes with the hologram of mark vii figure about 3 inches tall. great tony stark (rdj) sculpted head. battle damaged or pristine armor choices, flight or standing battle stances, great weapon deployment setups on the armor. it's good. i had a nerd-gasm when i received it. now it's opened the flood gates and I must have the legendary series 1:2 scale iron man mark vi bust from sideshow toys as well.

This is by far the most money I've ever dumped on a piece of plastic from Hot Toys! That being said I am so happy that I parted with my hard earned cash. Okay first the pluses. The Tony Stark head sculpt is as usual with Hot Toys brand photo realistic. I was also surprised at the paint job on the head, it's the best one I've seen so far. The armor sculpt is also highly detailed, they even sculpted the parts that are only seen when the suit is taken apart. The other features are the same as all the other Iron Man 1:6 scale figures. Many movable joints for any poses you can think up. Lots of interchangeable pieces of (freaking awesome) armor mostly looking battle damaged. Three sets of hands, one set has movable fingers. The mini missile attachments look great, every time I look at them on the figure I want to go watch that seen in the movie. Of course the helmet chest and hands all light up and look totally sweet. Paint job on the armor is also spot on, no smudges at all. Okay onto what everyone likes to know about, the problems with the figure. My number one problem with this figure is that the body seems to be made of a light plastic that I usually find in Revoltech brand robot type figures. What does this mean? Well it means you better put this on a low shelf because if it falls onto the hard floor it'll shatter like glass. Also it comes with a standard Hot Toys stand which is meant to be used on figures wearing cloth pants. First time I put the figure on the stand it fell right off it. If you get this figure, buy a clipping stand before you try to display it. Another problem with this figure is that in low room light the lights in the hands shine right through the red plastic. Which makes for a laughably bad effect. That is why I titled this review "Wish it was diecast" I know a metal version of this would be major amounts of money, but it's freaking Iron Man! All I can say about the Hot Toys Iron Man Mark VII is, am I fan? Yes I am! I loved the Avengers movie & have watched it many times now. Robert Downey Jr. & Mark Ruffalo make that movie for me in a super big way! Still have to get my hands on the Hulk figure though.

Face mask magnet was loose in box. Face mask falls off. Loose joints and does not hold poses. Head unit wobbly. Material is PLASTIC not iron/die-cast as in the description and very lightweight. Not worth the price. I read the other reviews and wonder what they received vs what i received.

This is a gorgeous figure in every way. Great likeness of RDJ, replica of the movie suit design, the works. Very delicate, however, as two things broke in a few minutes of handling: a tiny spring inside the hinged shoulder plate and one of the magnets holding the mask in place. The second mask was missing its magnet entirely. Definitely for display only, and I was discouraged from trying the extreme poses seen in the Hot Toys production photos.

Very good product! Hot toys makes great action figure my nephew enjoyed!

the articulation, the plethora of optional attachments, and a movie accurate design leave me breathless as I look upon this amazing figure. This is a must have for any Iron Man fan or collector!

got this from 299. This is the collection should have if you like Ironman. The price was up to 439 something and it was too much. I am not sure the one I have now was display or not but the leg part is kind of loose. Anyway, I just keep it as display and it is fine for me.
