Works well for gradual lightening, but you may go through the bottle quickly
Review: I’ve been using the John Frieda Go Blonder Lightening Spray consistently, and overall I really liked the results. It definitely does what it claims — my hair gradually became lighter and brighter rather than patchy or brassy, which I appreciated. The change isn’t instant, but with regular use it’s noticeable and looks natural. That said, I did find myself using more product than expected to get the results I wanted. I have medium-length hair, and it took fairly generous application over multiple uses to see a clear difference, so the bottle didn’t last as long as I hoped. What I liked: • Gradual, natural-looking lightening • Easy to apply and control where it goes • Didn’t damage or dry out my hair when used as directed Things to note: • You may need to use more product for visible results • Bottle can run out quickly with frequent use Overall, this is a solid option if you want subtle, controlled lightening without committing to dye. Just be aware you might go through the bottle faster than expected depending on your hair length and how light you want to go. I’d still recommend it, especially for gradual results. Ive used a couple bottles of this stuff and will definitely keep ordering in the future.

Great for faking summertime color
My hair comes out dark blonde but naturally bleaches out in the sun. Ive tried dying it darker to even out the color in the winter but the color never takes. I don’t want to bleach the top to even it out either! I used this on the top of my head with my hair drier for a few days and boom! Even color and no time commitment. A great option to use a few times over the winter to keep my hat color more consistent.

It Works , still works update!
I don’t believe in gate keeping what works to use this and maintain your hair. After combing through the Go Blonde and sitting in the sun for 30 mins . The Ceramide ppt treatment from Amazon just put in in your hair gently roots to tip and wrap hair up in a silk bonnet. Zima has an affordable real silk one. Leave it on over night. Spray through the go blonder in the morning and sit in the sun. Then shampoo and conditioner with the Go Blonder line. But add this Ceramide to the conditioner. You can also cut the blue shampoo with the Freida to gently tone to get a gradual natural lift. Have fun and Happy Summer July 2024 I deep-dived and read reviews of those who have used it for decades. I moved, my hairdresser is pregnant. I can't risk a full head of foils on a stranger. So I've been gently combing out my hair like when I get foils and spraying my roots each side. Keep the window or bathroom door open. I've done this every morning lightly It has blended out my roots and blue shampoo cancels the light yellow I'm a natural strawberry blonde so there are days where it shifts from orange, yellow light butter color. I change my part each day to get more dimensions oh blond. When its not 100 degrees before 7 am I sit for 20 mins in the sun. Since it is, same rules from being blond for 12 years. Silk pillowcase. Raspberry hair vinegar, palmers coconut oil for hair. Rosemary Mint scalp dropped oil. Comb brush hair from the bottom up. The match conditioner is great at brightening but needs to be mixed with a deep conditioner and let it soak in a cap for 40 mins Don't use on hair that has been bleached or colored in the last four weeks and go slow. Silky Headbands for the orange yellow lift days Any moment my hair feels dry its straight to the palmers coconut spray, scalp drops, and hair in a side braid I wash once to twice a week to lift the oil feels I use raspberry vinegar all over my scalp. It closes the hair follicle and hair stays soft and shiny never gummy Blonde maintenance is fun right? Lol but it makes me feel good so its worth it

It works!
It works great, really brightens my hair. I will say it does tend to dry your hair out though so you don't want to use it everyday.

Works Great for Gradual Lightening!
I’ve been using the John Frieda Go Blonder Lightening Spray for a while now, and I have to say, it really works! I wanted to lighten my hair gradually without damaging it too much, and this spray does exactly that. What I Love: ✅ Gradual, Natural-Looking Lightening – It doesn’t bleach your hair instantly, but with a few uses, you start seeing a noticeable difference. My hair looks brighter and sun-kissed instead of brassy or artificial. ✅ Easy to Use – Just spray it on damp hair, focus on the areas you want to lighten, and use heat (a blow dryer or sun exposure) to activate it. No mixing, no mess. ✅ No Harsh Bleach Smell – It smells way better than traditional hair bleach, which is a huge plus. ✅ Doesn’t Make My Hair Feel Too Dry – Some lighteners leave hair straw-like, but this one has hydrogen peroxide without feeling too damaging. I still use conditioner just to be safe, though. What Could Be Better: ❌ Not for Dark Hair – This works best for blonde or light brown hair. If you have darker hair, it might not work as well or could leave brassiness. ❌ Needs Heat to Work – You have to blow dry or be in the sun for it to lighten, so it’s not an instant, leave-in solution. ❌ Can Cause Dryness with Overuse – Like any lightener, if you use it too often without deep conditioning, your hair might feel a bit dry. Final Thoughts: Overall, this is a great product for gradual, controlled lightening, especially for people who want a natural sun-kissed look without committing to bleach. I’ve purchased it multiple times and will keep using it! Highly recommend for blondes or those looking for subtle highlights.

Does the job
I’m naturally blonde but during the winter I get this dark band at the roots if I am working too much or the weather is bad and I can’t go outside So every couple years I end up using this just to even things out It works like a charm, but the bottle broke before I even got 1 spray this time. The cap broke off and it was just leaking everywhere. I had to pour the product into another spray bottle to be able to use it.

This works really well! I am careful not to overdo it, hair lighteners are hard on the hair. But the color results and smell of this is far better than my old standby of sun-in. It works well in combination with a color correcting blue shampoo.
