Jungle Cruise (Disney Classic) (Little Golden Book)

I bought this book for my 16 year old daughter, she has multiple disabilities and Disneyland is her absolute favorite place! Not to mention, books are her absolute favorite thing!! It's been a while since we've been able to vacation in Disneyland. I think she'll love it! This book is really cute, from the artwork to the "dad jokes" that we all know and love from the actual ride! The storyline follows the ride storyline. If you've not experienced the ride, you travel through a jungle on a boat with a skipper who tells very very bad (yet funny) jokes! If your child has never been to Disneyland this would make a great way to reveal your trip! Is it a fast-paced thrill read...no... it's for kids and people like me who adore Disney!

This book is filled with classic Jungle Cruise ride jokes, making it a great way to remember our past Disneyland memories and gives hope for new ones to come. Some jokes were lost on my 4 year old but I think this book will be great to read for years to come. My child enjoyed the illustrations, pointing out silly things in the scenes and the different animals. This book goes with the 'It's a Small World' Golden Book that came out a few months ago and the 'Haunted Mansion' Golden book coming out in July.

Have you always wanted to have a book at your disposal that you can read out "The back side of water!" whenever you want? Well now you can! This book perfectly captures the humor and excitement of Disney’s classic Jungle Cruise attraction. The story is fun, lighthearted, and full of adventure. The illustrations are colorful and packed with charming details that kids and Disney fans will love.

Classic jungle cruise one liners filled in a well illustrated Story book, what’s not to like. A must for young children who love the jungle cruise, or a must for the children of parents who love the Jungle Cruise. We read these series of books (including the matching Haunted Mansion and Small World, amongst other little golden books) for our 4 year old before bed and he loves them - mainly I suppose for the memories associated of visiting the actual attractions, but the illustrations (as with most golden books) are fantastic (which he loves), and the adapted story is great too, as are the multiple ‘dad jokes’ associated with the Jungle Cruise Ride. Only slight issue is the finishing of the book seems to be a bit haphazard as the gold paper spine is peeling although a ‘hard press down’ or burnish seems to do the job. One other tiny issue is the punchline of the ‘backside of water joke’ isn’t included. My favourite joke from the jungle cruises - and it goes something like this - “The 8th wonder of the world - the backside of water!!! Don’t try this at home, as you’ll hit your head on the sink (faucet)”. Great book for any Disney parks fan, although this isn’t really related to the Disney Film of the same name, as it is based on the Disney Parks version of the ride. If you are a Disney fan though, you would enjoy it all the same I’d imagine. Great little book, slightly let down by a tiny issue with the binding (which seems to be a common fault).
