Ninben Concentrated Soup Base "Tsuyu no Moto" 1L

It tastes fantastic! I use it for my cold soba and it’s great in soups.

The cap is weak and doesn't really lock. This is one of those bottles where the contents is heavier than the container, causing spillage if not held around the body or lower neck of the bottle. I tried to shake the bottle and it exploded into a fishy, sticky mess. The taste is spot on authentic 10/10. It's sweet af because when watered down all you can taste is the sugar. I ran out of fish sauce while cooking and this was a good stand in. Definitely not for anyone with food allergies or avoiding blood sugar spikes.

I use this product to make soup. I add it to chicken broth with veggies and/or meat and it tastes as if I am in an Asian restaurant. It transforms regular homemade soup into something more yummy!

Purchased this on 12/19/2022 and delivered on 12/22/2022 and expiration date is the end of January/2023. If I knew this, I definitely would not have purchased it. Who could finish 33 floz of Mentsuyu in a month. And no free return. I also prefer Kikkoman Mentsuyu over this. I'm so disappointed.

Strong umami taste ingredient's cleaner I don’t skip aromatics when I cook soups and I just need 1-2 Tbsp of Tsuyu to create more flavor I will be using it more during colder months I also use a dash of Tsuyu + some soy sauce for my stir fry noodles brings out dish to a higher level . I think it’s worth the good size bottle you don’t need much to enjoy flavorful dish be mindful of sodium content and mono sodium glutamate for those sensitive to it

Love making soup with tons of veggies and a few gyoza. Great soup base.

I would highly suggest you look elsewhere for this sauce. I just got mine delivered and have only a month before expiration.Obviously with the sodium and packaging it will be fine a little while longer. However, this is a terrible business practice since this bottle is so large that using it while it is still fresh will be virtually impossible.Another low rated review shows that this issue continues to be a problem and probably not worth risking the purchase.

I have purchased several of these. This is an amazing way to make great udon soup without a lot of hassle. The sauce is very forgiving and flavorful just heat it in a pan stir and some egg drop pour over fresh noodles, garnish with green onion and you have a fast very flavorful meal in under 10 minutes. The sauce is also super concentrated.
