Products themselves are great. Imperfections are minor compared to the money saved. Only disappointment is that the battery received is the older "fat" model, not the newer, slimline one advertised 😕

Starter kit well worth the money

If batteries had egos, the Einhell Power X-Change 18V, 4.0Ah Lithium-Ion would definitely be the cool, reliable one everyone wants at the party. First off, the charge time—it’s like this battery has a secret life where it’s constantly working out. You’ll barely blink before it’s fully charged and ready to rock your tools like a pro. Whether it’s drilling, cutting, or whatever DIY madness you’re up to, this battery ensures you’ve got the juice to get the job done without constantly checking the charge like you do with your phone. Durability? Oh yeah, it’s built to last. You could probably throw it across the yard (but I wouldn’t recommend it), and it’ll keep going like the Energizer bunny, still full of energy and ready to go. It’s like the marathon runner of batteries—unfazed, unbothered, and always powering through. In conclusion, the Einhell Power X-Change 18V, 4.0Ah Lithium-Ion is the kind of battery you’ll want to take on all your DIY projects. It’s reliable, fast-charging, and ready to work whenever you are—basically the best team member you could ask for (except it doesn't need coffee breaks).

I have quickly discovered that the expensive part of battery-powered tools is the battery. It's sometimes cheapest to get a starter set with a drill, charger and batteries, even if you already have a drill! That's the route I decided to take, but my drill only had the 2AH batteries, and I wanted a bigger one for the circular saw I just bought. I didn't actually NEED a bigger battery as it turned out - these batteries are all pretty powerful, and I was able to cut through solid oak kitchen counter tops with the smaller 2AH batteries. The size has nothing to do with the available power, the only difference is that the bigger ones last longer. Nevertheless, it's useful to have plenty of batteries available. For jobs like kitchen fitting I've found that three is a good number - one in the drill, one in the impact screwdriver and one in the circular saw. Ideally another one in the charger... It gets expensive, which is why I made sure I got this in the sale. £40 for the battery and charger is not bad at all. I now have two chargers, which is always useful because I can have one in the workshop and one wherever I am working. From the older reviews it seems some came with an EU plug, but that seems to have been resolved now. My charger came with a UK plug on, so I was able to use it immediately. The battery had about 75% charge, so it didn't take long to fully charge it up. The charger has the usual lights to tell you if it's discharged, charging or full. The battery also has lights to tell you the charge status, which is handy. You just press a button next to the release catch. The battery only fits Einhell tools, officially. However, Einhell also make some of the tools sold by Lidl and Aldi, so you might find the batteries are interchangeable. The battery does NOT fit Makita, Bosch or Stanley Fatmax tools (old or new). You can get adapters... This 4AH battery is quite a lot heavier than the 2AH, which is worth remembering if you have to hold the thing over your head for any length of time. I guess that's why they make different sizes - use the right one for the job.

No where in the product description or images was it mentioned that these cannot be used in the United States. It took a couple of months to be shipped, but once they were I received them in about a day and a half, from Europe. Not packaged well, but not damaged.
