I've tried another product from the TGIN line (co-wash) and wasn't too fond. However, this leave-in daily conditioner made me second guess my opinion of this brand. It's a 4c hair woman's dream product and works better than other "best-selling" and highly rated brands (includes: Deva Curl, Carol's daughter, Maui, Sinner and Saints, and Aunt Jackie). Disclaimer: I have color-treated (bleached) 4c hair that's very thick, dry, damaged, and easily turns into a kinky fro. 💁🏾‍♀️ ABOUT THE PRODUCT'S FORMULA → Product's Thickness: medium-thick → Product's Creaminess: very creamy but not runny → Product's Scent: light soft scent → Has obvious oil contents: YES! (in the best way) 💁🏾‍♀️ INITIAL APPLICATION / PRODUCT APPLIED ON HAIR: → Weightiness on Hair Wet: light → The weightiness of Dried Hair: feels very light on hair, even though the product is fully moisturizing → Stickiness on Hair: None. → Water needed to detangle: No, does not need water to comb through on dry hair. 💁🏾‍♀️ STYLING / APPLICATION: → Best for dry hair (for styling): Yes. → Best for wet hair (as a base): Yes. → A lot of product needed on dry hair: No, a little product goes a looooong way. → A lot of product needed on wet hair: No. → Adds Curl Definition: Yes, this will help define your curls (even for 4c hair). I noticed some of my hair strands curling up strand by strand to reveal my beautiful coily texture. → Adds Volume: Adds some volume. → Moisturizes when dry: Yes, your hair will still feel moisturized when fully dry. → Dries down and keeps moisture: Yes, you can feel the moisture (not product) on your hair. → Does product sit on to of hair: No, your hair will drink this product and will NOT leave a film on top of the hair. → Does product soften hair (when dry): Yes, yes, and Yes! It makes your hair SUPER SOFT! 💁🏾‍♀️ PRODUCT DUPES AND/OR SIMILARITIES → Absolutely NONE. This product is in a lane all by itself... the creme-de-la-creme of hair moisturizing products for 4c hair!!! This is better than Deva Curl products I used to use heavily in my hair (until the lawsuits and hair loss claims). I can NOT find any product better than this one, it's truly mind-blowing (since I was ready to give up lol). OVERALL/FINAL THOUGHTS → This is A MUST MUST MUST for 4c hair PERIOD! If you need a hair moisturizer for every day that doesn't ruin your hairstyle, won't weigh your hair down, softens the hair shaft, helps with some detangling, doesn't have a strong scent, and adds shine to your hair, THIS IS IT! I've compared this to Deva Curl, Saint and Sinners, Carol's daughter, Maui, and Aunt Jackie's products and by far this is THE BEST! TGIN is more pricey than most of the other brands but works the best for 4c hair (also a black-owned brand). I would like to order this product by the gallon and I say that without any exaggeration, TGIN please make a bigger container (although a lot of product isn't needed at once). I would highly recommend and can't wait to tell others about it. It's REALLY good for 4c hair coming from a very tough and honest reviewer. I really hope this detailed review helps :)

First off, this product is fantastic. I have 4C dreadlocks that are soooo dry. Like the founder of this product, I too had breast cancer. My treatment is endocrine therapy which suppresses estrogen. No estrogen, lots of dryness. My hair was getting extremely brittle and light, like I was losing volume. With the very first application of this product my locs were soft, weighted, and smelled fantastic. My 3 favorite things. The moisturizer itself is extremely thick so a little goes a long way. It is by far the very best hair moisturizer I've used in the 10 years I've been loc'd. Please try it if you are fed up with crispy locs like I was. It is a game changer!!!!
