Very reasonable price for the quality.
This is my first experience with Amcrest cameras, and they do function as reported. The wide-angle view and color reproduction are superior to more expensive devices. My application is for observation in a very dark area. Cameras I have used in the past required to addition of IR emitters to augment on-camera ability. This camera out preforms my past configuration dramatically. Construction and mount aiming are very solid and it worked flawlessly with a non Amcest DVR.

Awesome cameras
I bought these cameras to go with my Q-see 16 channel DVR because my Zosi cameras had horrible night vision....these cameras are way better than any camera I own so far, really good resolution and perfect color in the day and really good night vision (Better than 100 ft) and also really clear. When my outside flood lights are on they will switch back to day mode and show crazy awesome color at night, none of my other cameras will do this or even come close to the resolution of these cameras. My plan is to replace all of my cameras with these over the next few months so I am really hoping that they don't decide to stop selling them before I buy what I need. These cameras will work on other DVR's as I had purchased these cameras before I bought the Amcrest DVR and they are even more clear on the Amcrest DVR as opposed to the Q-see DVR that I had so I also highly recommend the Amcrest DVR as well. This is the Amcrest DVR that I purchased: ( Amcrest ProHD 1080P 16CH Video Security DVR Digital Recorder, 16-Channel 1080P, Supports 960H/HDCVI/HDTVI/AHD/IP, HDD & Cameras NOT Included, Remote Smartphone Access (AMDV108116) Like I said this has been the best camera / DVR combination that I have purchased and I have tried Samsung, Q-see, Zosi and a few others but none as good as these. I have only had them for about six months but so far they have exceeded my expectations. My other cameras also worked on the Amcrest DVR as well and had better resolution than on the old DVR. This was a good purchase! I will update this post if anything changes in the next few months but so far so good!

Great image quality, poor night vision
I like these little bullet cameras. Easy to install, great image quality, all metal except for the mount I think. The night vision was not up to par. It says in the description 98 feet, but it was more like 10 feet. That's the only thing I didn't like. Oh and the mount was a little tricky to get right. If you don't have it positioned correctly when you mount it, it might be a little bit off. Have someone looking at the image on the monitor when you mount it so it goes just right. Great image quality though. What you would expect of 1080p. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because one of them lasted less than 24 hours before it went dead. I'm going to send it back and give it another try. But that means climbing up a ladder and taking it down. Not happy about that. I'll update this review once I get the replacement in. As for the mode switch, the sticker that comes attached to the camera cable says to set it another way as compared to the the video that's on Amazon at the top of the page along with the pics. The sticker that comes attached is wrong and the video is right. Poor QA/QC.Update: After reinstalling the replacement, it seems to work fine so far. Excellent image quality, night vision NOT 98ft. I'd say about 20ft. Max. But great image for the price. They seem to have a fair amountThat go dead after only a short time. I'm using flood lights at night so it stays in color/ day mode. I'd say take your chances and buy this camera taking into account what the failure rate is. Recommened.

Will worth the price.
Nice color for daytime and really good night vision. Just ordered 2 more. The extra wide vision I was able to eliminate one of the cameras I was using at the front of my house. Best I've found at this price. Had my system for more than 18 years so I have replaced many cameras.

Only works in analog mode on my system
This cam replaces another one with the same issue I purchased a week ago. A couple of years ago I purchased the system and replaced a couple of cameras that failed. I searched my order history and clicked on the past order, but this model was sent in lieu of the original model, but It isn't a replacement; it only works in analog mode. I needed something immediately so I installed it.Feeling a bit disappointed. Love the surveillance system, but would rather have HD cams.

Finally a CCTV Mount that is strong and pleasant to Install
I loved the Camera Mount on this little Camera. It was High Quality (not cheap or unreliable). The mount was easily adjusted, had plenty of strength to support the camera. The IR was very good and the picture was clear. The day I installed it I remember telling myself "This is my new favorite CCTV camera"

Great Camera...but Beware (updated rating)
Overall good video, but beware of loss of video or cycling caused by a voltage drop when it goes into IR night mode. If the camera is a good distance from the DVR/server, and/or if you are using "cheap" (small gauge) camera wiring to the DVR/server, the camera may display this problem. I had two that were "bad" for this reason. Because this camera needs 12 volts to operate properly, not much less, you must calculate the voltage drop over the wire and then put whatever voltage is needed at the input to compensate for the drop. There are wire loss calculators on the internet. In my case I needed a 14v input to compensate for the wire loss. The problem/risk is that the camera draws much more current in the night mode than in the day mode, thus applying a higher voltage to achieve 12 volts at the camera at night will actually provide a higher voltage during the day when the IR LEDS are not on. This provides a camera burn out risk. Another option is to remove the two torx screws holding the camera halfs together and disable the IR LEDs while leaving the photocell enabled. Have to cut two circuit board traces. This allows the camera to change to night (B/W) mode when it is dark (camera sensitivity better) but without the LEDs (thus no extra current) and then switch back to color mode during the day. Obviously, this voids the warranty, but you will have a workable camera.
