Eheim Thermocontrol e75 Heater, Black (AEH3633090)

I got the 75W version for my 20 gallon and it is working great. I got a good one and everything is calibrated great, I set it to 80F and my thermometer reads 80F so I am happy.

Amazing heater. Keeps precise temperature, unlike other heaters, this heater turns on more often for a shorter duration, keeping water temp at the same temperature.

Right out of box, it is holding temperature at desired point rock solid. Great product. Would buy more

The 75 watt only lasted 30 days in a small 10 gallon tank amazon refuses to refund :(

I ordered Thermocontrol heaters to replace an entire room of “Jeager” style Ehiems figuring it was the pesky mechanical thermostats drifting. One came with something glass broken inside the actual heater (not the glass heater itself). Another seems like the temp knob was installed about 10 degrees off so I have to bottom it out at 68 to get anything below 78.5> The lighter weight cord is a definite plus.> The temp scale is a little weird (clearly it was designed for C and converted to the American market) but that doesn’t really matter since you have to fine tune any heater.> I thought I’d hate the always on indicator light but you actually come to like it pretty quickly.Ultimately these seem to be powerful, accurate, and well designed, but not built reliably. Don’t hesitate to exchange if you just have one and it doesn’t seem right. Thankfully I had multiple to compare…

The dial, even after being 'calibrated' several times doesn't show 78 degrees as 78 degrees. After adjusting it for a bit, you find where the temperature actually is, for me 72 on the dial is actually 78. Once you find the correct temperature, it holds it fine for a week or so, before needing a slight adjustment again. It's not terrible, but it's not the Eheim quality I was expecting after everyone recommending this brand as the 'quality' brand.

It just works for one month. And stop working.

I brought my Oranda goldfish inside from their patio garden for the winter. They are in a long 20 gallon and like their temp around 68. Although many don't heat their goldfish tanks, this one is in a cool room in an old house, and a heater is needed for consistency and comfort. The 75 watt size is hard to find but ideal for my specifications. It's been running perfectly for about two weeks now, and the temp has been dead-on consistent. The product itself has a solid, quality feel to it. Very satisfied.
