Perfect Kitty Jail
We call this the kitty jail. We put them in there for short amounts of time if we catch them on the counter or trying to get into something and it keeps them contained well. They have tried to get out of it before but we're not able to. They like it though just as a regular little house, we put a heating pad in there with their pillow on cold evenings while supervised and they love it. Sometimes they just sleep in there instead of their cat tree or hammock. I tried to stain it but the wood is textured so it didn't really work. Despite that, I don't mind it at all but I may paint the outside of it in the future. Highly recommend this item

Great project piece!
Great buy for the money. Not the highest quality, but it was pretty easy to assemble. I bought it unfinished on purpose with plans to paint. It’s a good size. My two cats are about 12 lbs each and they fit easily through the opening (though I did remove the wire door). Turned out pretty cute! Ours will stay indoors...I think it would need to be sealed to be outside.

It's cute but has some issues
I do like the crate. My dog is getting used to it and learning the stairs but when assembling it I noticed a few things that I didn't really like. The first thing is that there aren't premade holes in everything. The place the screw goes in has an indention but not the piece it's being screwed to. This makes it tricky to line things up when putting it together.Since there aren't premade holes, it's also difficult to put together without a drill. The wood is soft enough that it can be done with a screwdriver but it takes a while and was difficult on my wrist. The wood doesn't feel properly finished in spots. For example, the opening in the front has rough edges on the wood that have not been sanded down. I'd be worried that it could cause splinters or scratches if you don't take some sand paper to it.The bottom doesn't screw in and just sits on a lip around the bottom. It's also not a perfect fit and can move around a bit at times. This says it could be for outdoors but the rough edges and some spots which don't seem to be fully covered with paint make me think that they could be damaged by the sun or water. This last ones are more preferential, but I think it would be better if the top had a hinge instead of being completely screwed in. This would make it easier to clean. It would also be better if the steps had some kind of felt or fabric on them so that they have more traction. My dog seems worried about going up because she might slip.I made some modifications to it so it works better for me. I added latches on the top so I can remove the top for cleaning. I removed the bottom so that my dog is on the floor instead (this gives her a couple more inches of room as well). I'm also adding some felt to the steps and covering or sanding spots with rough edges. The things I like about it are enough that I still think it's a good product for the price. The modifications I made make it much better.

Most popular seat in the catio!
Cats love it! Found some outdoor chair cushions 20" x 20" that fit both upper and lower areas. Two adult cats can fit on the top tier but several battles were fought until they figured that out. Assembly wasn't bad but the tops of several screws stripped out. Have a few extra on hand. Catio has a roof so I can't say much about it being weatherproof but it has been very sturdy with four cats using it. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase and my fluffy overlords are pleased.

Needs TLC but overall an OK product.
The product is easy to put together if you have your own tools. It comes with a small screw driver/flat head but of poor quality. They do not supply extra screws if you happen to lose one. Mine came covered in sawdust so I had to spend extra time cleaning the wood off. The wood does not feel finished, there are many pieces of the board with rough spots where it was not sanded. It is not stained wood either it looks and feels as if it was just fresh cut up. Which may not be a bad thing because of allergies or maybe toxins with the stain. I would have preferred to not spend an hour wiping each piece individually though. The top pieces of rails do not actually attached to the wood so I had to use wood glue. I have a large cat and would not want him leaning against one section of the rail and breaking it or falling over and cause injury to himself or to anything else that may be in the way.It is a simple product and my cat likes to sit on it to look out the window. It does look like it can be altered or colored to fit your room or outdoors needs but the wood is very flimsy so I recommend if you are making alterations to reinforce it.Also the bottom panel does not screw down so it does shift slightly and there may be concern towards your animals tail being caught between the wall board and floor boards because it does have about a cm gap on two sides.

Fit for a Maltese King
Arrived in 4 days. The instructions were simple to understand but constructing required some elbow grease. I purchased this for my Very Spoiled Maltese. When he’s not following me he’s relaxing in his lair.

My cat’s condo
My cat loves it. We have a heated blanket inside when it is cold or chilly outside. We painted it lilac with white trim.
