Very nice pressure cooker.
Great pressure cooker. Easy to clean, and has nice automatic pressure release. Construction is solid, too.

A very high quality pressure cooker
This is my second Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker. I've had a 7.4 qt for years and wanted a smaller one. Kuhn Rikon build quality is very good and it's a pleasure to use. The simple design and high quality materials make these utilitarian tools beautiful as well as functional. They don't vent unless over-pressured, so you don't have to worry about managing water loss during cooking. I've never had anything burn in it. I have a third pressure cooker made by a reputable company that I use sometimes, but it's not in the same league. The Kuhn Rikon is easier to use and much easier to clean. The Kuhn Rikon also has a superior silicone rubber gasket. There are parts in my other pressure cooker that just aren't accessible to clean properly. I can't really think of a negative for the Kuhn Rikon other than the sticker shock!

Defilingly a cooking upgrade
I purchased this after reading modernist cooking. The main reason I picked it up was for stocks but this pot is great for much more. The ability to cut down cooking times has been great for hosting multicourse meals or even quick dinners after work. The lid was a bit of a struggle to get on the first time until I saw the arrows after that I was very easy. I have not had any problems with cleaning the pot yet. My only real problem has been getting the glue from the sticker on the side off. After a few months of owning it I am happy with my purchase.

Does this come with inside containers too?
we had purchased the earlier model of Kuhn Rikon 3342 5-1/4-Quart Stainless-Steel Pressure Cooker which came with inside containers for cooking, but this one did not come with any containers. Does anyone else have the same problem? Was this model supposed to come with inside containers - steel ones for cooking? Thanks.

Perfect for a smaller kitchen/ apartment situation.
Had to save up for this one but it was worth it. Are there cheaper options out there? Absolutely but they don't seem to equal the high quality, design and simplicity of this line.

The top broke after the 4th use
There are many similar models available for half the price. We bought the Kuhn based on their reputation, and wanted a best in class pressure cooker. This is a disappointment. I tried to contact the company by email and got no response. This is obviously a design flaw, and future models may resolve the issue. For now, just make sure the model you’re buying doesn’t have this component on the lid. We’d love our money back. I’ll post again if that happens.

Built to Last
Extremely Solid Cookware. We had our last one for almost 20 years until it disappeared during a move. Works great!

High quality pressure cooker, although the price is a bit high, it’s worth the money. Quality and usability are top notch, easy to use, and food comes out quickly and full of flavour.

I'm very happy with this pressure cooker. It's well made, easy to clean. Now i can cook potatoes, lentils in 10min. It also saves me at least 50kWh of electricity per month. Highly recommended.

3.7quart Kuhn Rikon StoveTop Pressure Cooker. Beautifully designed and flaunting quality. Very agreeable to use, to clean, and store. Whisper-quiet. No steam Whistling out. So the amount of liquid in the end is what you started with. Making it easier to control the amount of gravy. This 3.7quarts comes with the markings of 2 fill-lines (halfway and 2/3rd). Its weight is very light for a saucepan. And its “usable volume” is just right for my small household. Given more or less a couple of mm: The Height of the “Pan” is 12cm, the Height of the “Lid” is 6cm resulting in an overall Height of 18cm. A diameter of 20cm that sits snugly on the medium hob of the stove. Exactly the pot I wanted: “wider” and not overly “tall”/“deep”. I could fit in the pot the full length of the bones (which my supermarket never cut) of my “lamb shanks” casserole. Cooked to perfection in this PC. Meat falling off the bones. Red Kidney beans soaked overnight came out in 11mn, buttery and holding its shape. Very pleased with my new “Kuhn Rikon 3.7qt StoveTop Pressure Cooker”. As I was buying my 3.7q KuhnRikon, I would have liked to be given the option of a few “add on” purchases: such as 1) a fitting Glass Lid for non-pressurised cooking. 2)a spare Silicone Gasket for this model. 3)a veg steamer BASKET insert. With this 3.7quart Kuhn Rikon I am replacing for the better (with the Security only Kuhn Rikon can give) the “Vinod Senior 4litres” which never arrived from Theo-dore, after weeks of waiting in limbo, and which AmazonAU thankfully refunded. That turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Recipe «Australian McKenzy French lentils» *Soak 50gr=1/4 cup lentils in 4x1/4cup water overnight. *Heat 30-40ml Olive Oil. *+1/8 tsp Black Mustard Seeds /1/2tsp CuminSeeds / a hint sprigs dried chillies. *+Thyme/ Curry leaves *+1 Onion échalote *+1/4tsp Garlic /1/4tspGinger/1/4tsp chilli paste *+ 1/2 tsp each: Cumin/Coriander/Turmeric Powder with 2 TBlspn of hot water to make a paste. *+1 TBlspn each: Fresh Coriander /Mint /Spring onions. *+ 1 medium Tomato with 1/4tsp salt & 1/2tsp brown sugar. *+ the lentils and it’s soaking water *+ 1x 1/4 cup Hot water. (more water if you like it soupy). —> cook WITHOUT pressure for 16mn. —> change cover and put the pressure cooking lid on. Bring to PRESSURE (when the 2 rings are up). Lower the heat to low. Cook under pressure for 11mn. —> manual pressure release (holding down the pressure indicator with an long silicone spoon). *+1/2tsp salt (add salt at very end). Leave chillies out & replace with black pepper to suit your taste.
