Great motherboard
Pros:Great motherboard with a lot of great features. Was an easy install with very few problems. The motherboard recognized my G.SKILL TridentZ ram and auto clocked it to is advertised 3200 with only a bios update required. It was also easy to install the new Samsung 950 pro into the M.2 slots, and the motherboard recognized the new ssd immediately and allowed me to install windows on it.Cons:I had to update the bios to make my ram work. I knew that this was a strong possibility going into the build so i had pre downloaded the bios. I removed 3 of the sticks to get the motherboard to reach bios and then easily flashed the new bios. After the bios update it was working as intended.Things to considerMake sure to check if your ram is supported before you buy. There is a lot of memory out there that this (or any other) motherboard only supports 1 or 2 sticks of. Check the ASRock website to ensure the memory you want to buy is supported.

Avoid Asrock Mainboards
I bought this Formula OC with the intent to overclock it with a 6700K. I wanted this board in particular because I had 3 960 pros, and it supported triple raid NVME. As god was my witness, I was gonna triple raid those samsungs, and use 64MB of ram with my 1080 Ti card. All I wanted was a fast reliable box that performed. I was not even going to overclock the machine. Well it didn't turn on the way I wanted, after multiple bios updates, and build after build with Dr. Dos singing, I figured out I bent pins. I send the board back and still under warranty I am charged to repair the chip socket. I am a reasonable man, the amount of installs and re-installs of the hardware probably led to a bent pin, and I could deal with that. The two things that really irked me, was that once I got the board reliably working, in a very short span of time it failed, and I was conveniently out of warranty. Not wanting to give up on my hardware, I again bought a asrock board, this time a supercarrier. Like the Formula OC that ended in a spectacular failure.

I believe this board is great for both advanced and casual builders
I believe this board is great for both advanced and casual builders. The preset overclocking options are great, but you can also configure every possible timing and voltage if you are so inclined. Having read that the motherboard will need a bios update before recognizing multiple sticks TridentZ ram, I installed a single stick for the first post and flashed the new bios using the built-in network updater, then installed the remaining modules. The Samsung 950 Pro M.2 is not hampered by this board. These components, along with the Z170 architecture, fast GPUs, and a overclocked 6700k CPU yields a very, very fast machine. I imagine I will be pushing the 6700k further than the 4.6 GHz it is set to now as this bios is highly configurable.Beyond the speed aspect, the board itself is remarkably well constructed; the silicon is quite thick and the electronic components are high quality. The heat spreaders appear to be water-jetted aluminum. At first I was hesitant to select this simply because of the yellow accents, the product pictures are a little over saturated and it looks more subdued in person. The sound from the Realtek chipset is excellent, and I am happy with the expandability offered through M.2, U.2 or SATA. I would prefer a little more spacing between the DRAM slots and a unified Windows application, as well as ASRock offering support for Intel LAN driver bottlenecks, but these failings are minor and I am quite happy I chose this board over the "gamer" options on the market.

A great board, takes a hit, keeps on going
I have owned MANY computers in my time, and I have never actually lost a motherboard naturally, before this board. Not only that, but I actually have owned two of these boards, and they both crapped out on me. Some sort of issue with power regulation. I would probably guess that this board is very weak when it comes to voltage changes from the ATX connector. When this board works it's 5 out of 5, however I have never had power issues with a motherboard except for this particular model/make. I like ASROCK a lot, and think, they probably just put too much on this one and forgot to cross all the T's and dot all the I's.**** EDIT.Well, apparently the board wasn't dead, it still going, like the energizer bunny, even if it gets hit by a bad PSU. No lies, if this board were cheaper it would be my favourite board of all time. Need more mother boards with lots of PCIe lanes.

This thing is super simple to overclock
We originally had an ASUS Motherboard but it didn't work, so we returned it and got this one. Right out of the box this thing worked. We had an Intel Core I7 6700K, and two AMD Radeon RX 480's. This thing is super simple to overclock. It immediately knew what processor we had and had preset overclock settings at 4.2 Ghz, 4.4 Ghz, 4.6Ghz, and 4.7Ghz. You just select what speed you want and bam, it works. We had some stability issues at 4.6 Ghz, but we adjusted the voltage and solved the problem. For the ram we used 32Gb G.Skill Trident Z Ram, which works beautifully. Overall this is an outstanding board, and is made very well. If you are thinking about buying this then don't hesitate!

Overclock your DRAM with easy, get all the bells and whistles for your 6700K, and get a nice bonus with an awesome look
After spending 2 days troubleshooting an ASUS board that kept failing to boot when I tried overclocking my RAM to its proper frequency, I grabbed this ASRock Z170 OC Formula and the XMP profile detected my DRAM at 3733 and it worked first try. Oh man I am so happy with this board. It looks great. It has a backup BIOS in case you bomb your primary bios. All of its jumpers, buttons, and interfaces are very easy to read. For a UI/UX person, this is a nice change from most circuitry.

Poor build quality
Top-notch shipping, kudos to amazon. Just by inspection I found that the motherboard I received was poorly made with missing solders in the back and missing screw mounts for the second M.2 drive. I wanted to have three M.2 drives which is why I ordered this one but there was no way to install and screw down the second M.2 drive. Very disappointed with the board quality.

Great for Ordinary Enthusiast Use
Fantastic motherboard -- however, don't try to power the CPU from multiple PSUs(as I did...) or you might regret it.
