Love this!
I have been using manic panic for many, many years now. I love all of their hair colors. They are a bit messy and will stain everything if you're not super careful when applying. I wash my hair about once a week, so this color stays in my hair for quite a while. It does not damage my hair at all. Very satisfied with this. Also, the color is super vibrant depending on your hair color.

Perfect temporary dye/toner for light hair!
I really wanted a temporary purple hair dye and this one works perfectly! I can go from bright neon purple, to lavender, to toned blond hair. I can have a fun break with neon hair and then go back to work two weeks later, and no one knows I had neon hair. Not only does it fade out of my hair perfectly without leaving any green pigment, it also perfectly tones my hair and takes out any brassiness, leaving me with the perfect white-blond shade I've been looking for. I have shoulder length blond hair and used this 3 times before I ran out. Granted, the first two times I used mainly white conditioner with a little bit of purple to get a nice lavender. The third time I used mainly the dye with a little bit of conditioner and left it on for about an hour. The only suggestion I have is to be careful with the dye itself. I would suggest washing your head out under bathtub faucet before taking a shower. The dye is such vibrant and will stain white surfaces if you aren't careful. If you're looking for a permanent neon dye over darker hair- this isn't for you. However, if you're looking for a temporary fun change with lighter hair- 100% would recommend. Definitely will be buying again.I included two pictures of my hair a couple days after I had dyed it and what color it was originally. (Note- it was significantly brighter than what you see in the pictures) The picture with my blond hair was a couple days after I had dyed it lavender- it faded out perfectly and left my hair white-blond. I didn't take any pictures of it while it was lavender, but it worked great! For the neon dye I used about half the container of dye with maybe 1 tablespoon of white conditioner. For lavender, I used about 1/4th of the dye to about 2/3rds cup of white conditioner for my shoulder-length hair. I would recommend leaving it on for at least an hour. USE GLOVES

ultra violet for life!!
absolute favorite color to dye my hair. i always get a ton of compliments. super easy to use, but definitely wear gloves, coat your hairline with vaseline, and cover your counter— the color will stain everything it touches (comes off w acetone best). sometimes my roots don’t take much of the color, in which case i have to dye it twice, but the second coloring always come out perfect. my hair is about mid back length and medium thick. if i’m cautious, i can get the whole head with one jar, but gotta be paying attention to how much you’re using. works quite well with ion pre color treatment spray. Color doesn’t tend to stick around long. i’m usually blonde again after a month or so.

Good when mixed with other colors
So I find that with Manic Panic shades, most of them work really well for my hair, but this one by itself doesn't. I'm not sure if it's my hair itself that just doesn't accept this pigment, but it never really "sticks' to my hair. I can color it, and then wash it once or twice, and most of the color is gone. However, it has a thinner consistency compared to their other shades (purple haze, enchanted forest, vampire red etc) and it does not work on anything than like level 8 hair. I have added this as a bit of a toner, to help remove yellow tones, and this works great for that. it also works really well if you're looking for a blue-purple based pigment, to mix with other shades. For my latest hair color, I mixed 1 part Purple haze, to one part Ultra Violet. It comes off as more of a true grape color, as compared to the sheer blue/purple wash it normally gives.

Not What I Expected But I Like It ...
I picked this up right before vacation so I could do pastel purple hair for the beach but never actually got around to coloring it before we left. I immediately opened it and mixed about 4 large spoonfuls into a bottle of white conditioner. I did NOT bleach my hair or even touch up my roots before I dyed. I separated my hair and tried to keep away from my scalp ... this didn't work too well doing it on my own without a brush but I managed to get the dye/conditioner mix on my hair and kept mostly away from my scalp. I combed through and then left it on, under a shower cap, for about 5-6 hours. Given the dye to conditioner ratio and the way it was more than a few shades darker than I wanted to allow for the shade different once on my hair, and the amount of time I left it on ... I really expected a lot darker. What I got was a faint purple tint towards the tips of my hair but mostly my hair was grey (a little patchy and my roots had lightened and taken on an oddly greenish tint but a touch up the next time I washed my hair took care of this nicely). I actually found I liked the grey color and will be purchasing a grey for my hair once this bottle runs out but it's definitely not the color I expected to get when I purchased this. I give it a four star rating because I am only human and may have not added enough purple, I did not bleach my hair as recommended, and I did mix it with conditioner for a pastel tint ... this could, and probably did, all lead to the grey color.

Used for toner
As lovely as this color is I did buy this product to use as a toner and not a hair dye. Mixing just a bit of this with some basic conditioner got me the perfect white color I was looking for in my hair and was a much cheaper way to maintain the color than buying a regular toner. If you are looking to do the same this is a great option!

Worked great at first
I wanted to continue using this color so badly, but it didn't last. After the first wash the color faded. It continued to fade with each wash faster than any other brand that I have used. I even purchased their amplified version, because it was supposed to be longer lasting and that was a no-go. I really like the color and it was exactly the color that I wanted, but they need to work on a longer lasting formula.
