Cashel Quiet Ride Horse Fly Mask with Long Nose and Ears, Black, Warmblood

Works great and my horse is comfy on trail rides.

This fly mask is very sheer. It works best for when horse is being ridden. Not as durable if used on horse out in pasture.

My QH is notorious for rolling and depositing his fly masks in the pasture. My Shire/Hano is more careful and keeps hers on in general. For that reason, and because who has time to traipse around acres of tall grass looking for the elusive fly mask, I put both mine in this. Full ear coverage helps keep them cleaner, nose coverage keeps insects and sun off their noses (yes, even dark noses get sunburned), and more importantly the fit it better. The bulky masks seem to provide leverage against the ground when rolling, so they slip off more easily. These are flush against the face and therefore less likely to flip off. Second, they work nicely on buggy or sunny trails. Regular fly masks impede vision so they trip over everything. This mesh mask if much better for vision and the above mentioned bug/sun protection. These also come without ears and nose extension depending on your horse's comfort but I'm a big proponent of the nose extension.

Very flexible mesh fly mask, very comfortable for my horse. The ear covers are quite long so not rubbing the soft fur off, the nose cover is long enough to offer protection without getting in the way when feeding or drinking. The black netting also offers much better vision. Expensive item well worth it!

I loved the design and sizing of these masks. I also loved that they were extremely lightweight. I bought one for my mule (warmblood size mask) and it fit perfect. The other was the next size down for my horse. Also fit perfect, though just slightly too long in the nose. I was beyond pleased for about 2 days with these,only minor tears On the third day I came home and the masks we're shredded. The material is not very durable...bit it is super nice because they are so lightweight. Also the animals look awesome in them. So I didn't like what I liked....I wish that the material was a bit more tear resistant as they weren't overly rough with them.

As described, perfect fit for my warmblood.

I'm only putting 4 stars because I ordered warmblood size for my mare that is a warmblood and is 17.2 but it was way too big for her. I am returing it and getting the horse size. Looks to be well constructed though.

Love everything about a quiet ride. Bugs can be horrible in FL. It’s a life saver.
