Pastry Blender Stainless Steel - 5 Blade with Round Comfort Grip Non Twisty - By Utopia Kitchen

When my mother passed last year, I inherited her old pastry blender that we'd always used growing up. When I received this one, I was shocked at the huge difference in quality!! I never knew I needed this until I received it. The old one we used was so shoddy and difficult to use. In hindsight, I have no idea how it cut through butter. This one makes blending butter into your dry ingredients so very easy! It's sturdy in it's construction, easily fits into your hand whether you have smaller hands (like me) or bigger hands (like my husband). It is easy to clean and makes my finally understand the phrase "like butta" -- this thing cuts through butter "like butta!" LOL Now I'm looking for excuses to make pies!

This is a stainless steel pastry blade. I've been wanting to try one out for a while now. This tool is great to use when you want to crumble up butter, or toppings. It has a nice feel on the handle, fits my hand nice. It feels a little lighter than one you would purchase in a high end kitchen store, but should hold up over time for your normal kitchen use. I was part of a pilot test group and received this product at a reduced price.

It is exactly as pictured and described but I have found that I do not like the handle. The handle is smooth stainless steel, but that makes the handle a bit slick and hard to handle with hands that may have cooking products on them or that may be damp/wet. If I had to buy another pastry cutter, I would select a rubberized or possibly wooden handle for easier control. Nice sharp blades, though, which make for easier cutting of butter or shortening into a flour dough.

This is a very good and very affordable pastry blender. It is very sharp and cuts the flour and the shortening in easily. I could not find one at any local store, not eve Wally World. They had them on their website (not this one), but they were more expensive This ishipped very quickly. l would recommend this to people just learning about pastry as well as seasoned chefs. Number one in my book!

This is a very nice item at a good price. I have seen higher quality ones, and some of the metal is thin and a expect it to eventually break after a lot of use, but not anytime soon. FWIW, I bought this mostly to make guacamole. I do make pie doughs and things, but it is ideal if you want a fairly well mixed guacamole. Beats a fork by a mile!

I love to bake so the Utopia Kitchen Stainless Steel Pastry Blade is great. I have a kitchen aid, but sometimes I need to just blend the ingredients so I use a fork, but this makes it easier. The blade fits into the bowl, and allows me to blend with ease. It is 100 percent stainless steel, so I don't have to worry about it rusting, and I can just wash with soap and warm water. The handle is nice and sturdy, light pastry blender and the blades are nice and sturdy.

I love it! I actually used it originally for deviled eggs -- worked great -- also works wonderfully for egg salad! I was so excited at how well it was working at first that I ended up with the egg salad -- forgot to separate the yolks from the whites! That's okay -- just did some more eggs! I do highly recommend it!

I don't think I knew what I was missing out on. This works amazingly well cutting butter for biscuits and for pie crust. Awesome pastry cutter. You cut the butter not just smash it. My biscuits were lighter, fluffier and had more nooks for delicious butter!
