High quality snips
I needed to cut a piece of (fairly thick) sheet metal to patch a hole in an HVAC vent. I bought a pair of snips from Harbor Freight since I knew I would probably only use them the one time. Unfortunately the Harbor Freight snips were way too flimsy to cut the sheet metal I had bought and since the handles were plastic they were warping and bending while trying to cut the sheet metal - it just made a big mess and I couldn't have completed the cut even if I wanted to. I did some research online and found out about these snips as they are (apparently) considered some of the highest quality snips. While I still needed to use a lot of muscle to cut the sheet metal it was definitely do-able and it made a nice clean cut. I wanted to cut a circular piece since the hole I was covering was circular and I had no problem. The only reason I had any trouble is because I believe the thickness of the sheet metal I was cutting was near the upper limit for these snips. I probably should have paid more attention when I was buying the sheet metal as I went overkill for my particular application. I would definitely recommend these.

I'm slightly biased, but these are great
These are American made. So, +1 star for that alone. These are great, look and feel like a tank, do the job, so far lasted well. I'm not a professional though, I'm not cutting miles of sheet metal every week with these.Potential points to be aware of:1) "tuning" differs from pair to pair. Probably explained by hand assembly tolerances. On this pair, in the expanded state the jaws are not as far apart as they could have been. About 1/2-3/4 of an inch length of the blades is already engaged, in the fully expanded state. That means i would have to make 10 cuts where i could just do 9 if more blade length was available for actual cutting. On the other hand, the blades starting the cut at a smaller angle provide for an easier bite into the sheet.2) you better have larger hands. My average size male hands struggle to get a good grip on the fully expanded snips. I sometimes "choke" the tool, gripping it closer to the business end, placing two fingers where just one index finger needs to go.3) packaged in a zip lock bag, not retail packaging. This is OK, better to store and cheaper to ship.

They are just OK, didn't really help much, if at all, over the straight pair
- I liked that they seemed well built- I bought them to hopefully make it easier to cut (primarily cross-cut) AG type panels - they are mechanically fine, but really didn't make it easier to make cuts in these panels (lots of cuts)- they might keep your hands higher on straight or vertical cuts- cross-cuts might even be a bit more difficult with the tools' offset- my review isn't meant to be in any way negative - maybe I didn't pick the best application for this type shear - I'm a novice, just thought these might help - they just didn't help much, agn, if at all over the regular style straight shears (which I already had)- I am referring to "AG" type panels - maybe they aren't really used on that material - I will say, the did seem much less helpful on the 24" aluminum trim coil material - seemed harder to keep the cut going exactly on the line when I wasn't scoring and snapping the coil material (but again I'm a novice with this material - your mileage may vary)

Trabajo haciendo ducto y tengo 4 meses con la tijera y sigue cortando muy bien

Es una tijera funcional.
Es buena tijera, pero me gustaría que tuviera cuchillas más largas para cortar, pero si funciona.

Midwest are high quality, USA made snips
My first pair lasted 5 years and probably would have lasted longer had someone not cut wire with them and left dead spots in the edges. High quality, USA made, leaves smooth edges, crisp and smooth operation
