Love this thing. I live in a dorm at a university, so solicitors are not even remotely a problem.However I like to let the rest of the people around me know that I am both eccentric and a hermit, and as such would very much like to be left alone to my own devices. Also I use to work as a door to door salesman (I consider it one of the worst experiences of my life; I promised free carpet shampooing and then would try to sell the $3,000 Kirby Vacuum). This serves as a sturdy reminder to myself that those days are truly over :)The sign has held true to my door after I fastened it a couple months ago. 9" x 3" is bigger than you think. I was trying to find something even bigger, but after installing this on my front door, I realized it is actually big enough (if not too big). You can see it from across the street, which is good for keeping away Solicitors, but actually brings down the curb appeal of the house. The silver looks too industrial.It stops most solicitors, but I still get the jerk-O pizza guys putting flyers on my door knob (2 inches from the sign), and I still get religious flyers on my door. Jehovah's witnesses don't knock anymore though, so that's nice. They still leave flyers thoughI am going to try to find something with white background to match the house (better for curb appeal), and specifically saying "No Flyers, No Religious..."

It's unfortunate that anyone has to resort to putting up signs to try and stop unwanted solicitor visits. But since many of us do, it's nice to have a choice of No Soliciting signs. We chose this simple silver with black text version that comes with two sided tape. It looks good and only time time will tell how well it stays in place. But for now, we are very pleased.

Looks nice. And sticks to our front door great! Bought another, 2 years after, for your new house.

Works great, however, you need to make sure you realize how large 9 x 3 is. This sign is easily readable from 150ft+ away from my house.

No Soliciting Sign is very professional looking. We have not had one solicitor since putting up the sign. Yea!
