I agree that a shipping weight of about 6 pounds is about how much my box with the wrench weighed. However, Amazon does not package tools for shipping in a consistent manner. It really depends on how much bubble wrap, etc. they use and how carefully they seal everything. Some tools from Amazon arrive packed with care. Others arrive with no protection and half the tool sticking out of the cardboard box.
