Great set, super quality, fantastic design
This set of cappuccino cups (6-ounce) by Konitz are well worth the money. I read the review of many other makes at lower prices but decided to get the Konitz cups at the end. The set included 4 cups and 4 saucers. Great design and perfectly sized saucer to the cups. I really love the quality of the materials, design, ergonomics, function and craftsmanship. The bowl shape is so perfect that it promotes mixing of the espresso shots and milk/froth. The ergonomics of the cup is fantastic, the bowl shape fulfills my hand so right that carrying the cup by the bowl in the palm of my hand feels so right. This is my favorite cup size for my daily coffee (cappuccinos.) I will never buy a different brand from now on, these Konitz cups is all I will ever buy. They are not expensive. They are quality cups for the right price. I also bought the Latte size (15-oz) cups and they are just as great as these smaller cups. I highly recommend them.

Great Cappuccino cups!
My Konitz cappuccino cups and saucers arrived in lightening fast speed today! They fit perfectly under the filter/coffee holder (De'Longhi EC155) unlike my regular small size teacups where I had to tilt them to get them in and out, the Konitz fits perfectly! They have such a wonderful weight to them, the handles are a nice size, even men would like the size. They are not flimsy dainty little things that a man would not use, these are a nice size. I love the color, they are not stark white, not grey, not muddy, not cream, but I think just a nice pleasing kind of off white and it's such a pretty color, I just love them! They have a pleasing shine too, and I can't wait to use them! Plus they are made in Germany, not a rush rush mass produced Chinese cheap import. You can tell these are high quality. I didn't get any with chips, pits, dents, black flecks, or whatever, they arrived perfect!

My favorite cups for free-pour latte art cappuccino & single shot lattes
I love this set and have ordered many of them as gifts for friends and family. The 6oz cup size is usually for cappuccinos but I use them for single shot lattes and even flat whites. The cups come with excellent quality saucers as well. Both the cups and the soucers are perfect thickness (not too thick and not thin). As far as heat retention, you need to consume your beverage quickly once poured. These don’t retain heat like double wall cups but are more durable.I also like these cups for practicing free-pour latte art. The cups fit perfectly in my hand great balance, wide mouth and shallow enough to allow for quickly setting the milk base then allowing the pitcher to come in close to the surface for the micro foam to stay on the surface.I highly recommend this set.

Perfect Cups.
I spent sometime on Amazon trying to find some good cups for Cappuccinos. I received a De'Longhi Cappuccino/Espresso Maker for Christmas and the cups I got where great for Espresso but not great for much else. I love these cups because unlike regular mugs that wont fit under my machine these do! They are cute and exactly what I was seeking. Some reviews mentioned dirt, black spots, imperfections, etc. However I was looking really hard at these and could not find a single black spot. Not sure about imperfections, they look fine to me. They did not arrive dirty. However with anything you buy, to drink or eat out of, you should certainly wash before hand. The glass is thick and sturdy which I rather loved. For the price, I thought it was a great purchase. I was not expecting thin fine china...haha. They are adorable and very useful. Arrived quickly and in perfect condition. (They went through great lengths to assure that the cups would not arrive broken). =)

Cups are good, not perfect
For a number of years I had the small espresso cups from the Konitz coffee bar series. Decent stuff, sturdy, thick porcelain. I'm happy with them, but needed some cappuccino cups, so decided on these. Just got them and they're now in the dishwasher.PRO:- Same thick porcelain as the espresso cups. Suitable for a coffee bar as they don't look like they'll break easily. This is a benefit with some family members here too. :)- Great size with a wide opening, so I can try a little bit of latte art.- Packed like it could be dropped from a plane and survive! The cups came in a huge box, I first though Amazon interpreted "set of 4" as "set of 4 of set of 4"! Lots of foam bits and what not in the manufacturer's box and then Amazon boxed it up even better. Don't worry, these cups will survive shipping.CONS:- There are quite a lot of surface deficiencies on the cups. Not smooth, some grey/black spots.- The saucers don't look made for the cups, the cups have a lot of room to move on them. Not so CON but not super:- They are super dirty coming out of the packaging, like they weren't even rinsed coming out of the oven. Most glassware you can just rinse and wipe, but this is now in the dishwasher.Overall pretty good. I don't care too much about the imperfectons, the saucer fit bothers me more, but overall I'm happy. Pretty decent I guess for the price.Update 9/20/2012: They're still going strong after about a month and a half of heavy use. As we use them so much here, we regularly have none when making coffee, so I'm ordering a second set. The little black spots are there, they still bug me, but I can live with it. :) The saucer size issue hasn't posed any problems in use.Update 10/1/2012: The second set has been in use for about a week now. Arrived with the same incredible packaging, needed initial dishwasher cleanup as they were dusty/dirty like the first set. Quality like the first, I can still recommend these cups.
