There is NO elasticity in waist at all. That is the only problem with these pants. Even jeans have some flex in the waist. You must order slightly larger on the waist, then wear a belt.The Knee protectors are awesome. Put them in and leave them. Wash with knee protects dozens of times... no problem.Jobman, why don't you add a short, strong piece of elastic band in the waist??? There are tactical pants that have this feature and they make GREAT work pants. At 6'1" and 160 pounds, even I needs some flex in the waist! I ordered a size larger, then must use a belt to keep them up.There are lots and lots of pockets... TOO many pockets. They get hung on items, especially in tight spaces.The size options are awesome... Yes, they fit a bit snug in the waist, but other companies UP-size so customers don't complain. They do NOT up size, so you might need to order a bit larger than what you are used to.I cut one star because due to lack of a short segment of elastic in the waist which is necessary with this material which does NOT stretch at all.Shipping is sooooooooo slow, but I know these reviews should be for the product, not for shipping etc.

I give it 5 stars because the product is great. I'm in construction and carry lots of tools on me. So these are perfect pants for that. I wish however that I hadn't listened to the other reviews. They said that the pants run a little small? Compared to what? Your suit pants? They run the exact same size as all my carhartt pants. But it's not a big deal.

These style pants are a little tight on me I ordered size 34 but they are European pants so the tag says D92 wich means 32 x 30 to me, so I think cause length is correct. Pants are great for doing work when needing knee pads and pouches. i would recommend to a friend.

These are pretty much just like the ultimate craftsman pants pocket wise just a bit thinner material, so cooler in warmer weather. fit true to size, (34w34l), Imo Great pants.

Definitely need to order about 2 maybe even 3 waist sizes bigger. Quality looks great but the fit, not so much.
