I’ve been using this product for a while, and overall, it works well. It trims effectively without cutting or irritating the skin, which I really appreciate. It's gentle and does the job smoothly. However, be careful with handling—it’s quite fragile. If it falls from around 1.5 meters or higher, it could easily break. Also, it doesn’t come with a protective case or storage pouch, so you’ll want to make sure you store it somewhere secure to prevent damage. Good performance, but it needs better durability

Really decent trimmer. It is easy to handle and I think the design is great. I’m able to have a really good trim and it’s almost to a smooth finish. I haven’t had irritations from it like I do with razors so that an huge perk! Only draw back I have is that it is not nic proof on more sensitive areas.

I’ve had this trimmer for over two years now. The foil attachment was pulling on hair, which is a no, so I tossed it. When using the pink attachment (for adjustable length control), it took FOREVER to get the job done. I had to go over the same areas several times and it just wasn’t efficient, so I tossed it as well. I use the trimmer with zero attachments and it works fine. I was scared at first, but I have not been knicked once. However, the head is so narrow that I feel like it takes too long. I wish it were wider so I can get the job done faster. I’ve used it dry and in the shower and it’s still going! I don’t care for a close shave and wish the guard was more efficient so I can get the length that I want. But as soon as this one konks out, I’ll look for a wider one.

Bought in January, barely works now. I think it’s become clogged with hair but is difficult, if not impossible, to disassemble and clean.

It's not as good as my older Remingtons that lasted liked 15 years, but it has features that matter to me. Most importantly, it uses a normal battery! I'm not trying to deal with a razor that slowly loses charge over time. Just let me replace the battery and be done with it. It's also got a pretty small head which makes it easier to get into hard to reach areas. I do wish it had some better guards/levels. The guard it comes with is pretty much useless to me and I just use it as a protective cover when the razor is not in use. This first one lasted me about a year until part of the neck broke. I think I was tapping it too much (on the side of the toilet or sink) after using to shake off excess hair. Time to buy my second one. Love that it's super cheap!

I’d give this zero stars if I could. It doesn’t cut any hair long or short - especially the foil attachment. Serious waste of money.

I saw another reviewer that mentioned she had her original Smooth & Silky for 15 years. Me too. The motor started slowing down recently, so I finally got this new one. I love using this to completely shave my private area. I use it every other day before showering. It takes only 5 to 7 minutes to shave it and the result is smooth and silky, hence the name. I only use the angled foil shaver. If it’s your first time, then trim it first with the bikini trimmer before using the shaver. I’ve only used the trimmer once and that was 15 years ago. If you do it as often as I do, then you’ll just use the foil shaver. I tried doing this once while showering and that didn’t go too well because you’re bending down to shave your private area and making sure you don’t nick anything and the stream of water just gets in the way. So I do it dry. It does use a lot of battery power. That’s the only negative, in my opinion. So I just buy generic AA batteries at the grocery. One battery is included in your package though. Anyway, this is still a great buy. I can’t live without it. I just hope this will last another 15 years.
