Whetstone Frontiersman Survival Knife & Kit w/Sheath, Silver, Standard

I gave this to my grandson for a birthday gift (17). He loved it! He takes it out in the woods and hacks away at dead logs and stuff. It was a favorite gift.

I bought this for my grandson, he was so happy to get it. It is well made and a value for the Money.

Bigger than I thought it would be and for the price seems good.

It comes with everything but the blade isn’t as wide as Rambo knife lol

It's a decent knife for the cost but we're at loses points for me is the sharpening stone is the smallest Stone I've ever seen not only is it razor thin feel like I'm going to break it sharpening a knife on it but it's also very short and I can understand that trying to cut costs with a smaller Stone but the pouch that it fits in is so small you can't even go buy a decent size Stone and replace it and I don't even mean a big Stone I mean a decent size Stone nothing else will fit in that pouch

Bought this thinking it would be a good back up full size survival knife. While it is nice to have built in storage, the tang of the knife stops at the hand guard giving the blade very little back bone. For as big of a knife as it is even a half tang would be better for the things you would use it for. The fishing kit is nice but it's to small to be of any real use for anything other then catching sunny's. The big thing that really brought the knife down was the fact that it arrived with the sharpness of a table knife. I'm not expecting something that I could shave with for $20 but come on, I gotta have something that'll at least pretend to be sharper then a plastic knife. As I said, for $20 you get what you pay for I may return it or just keep it and re purpose it but it for sure is not gonna go in my hunting or survival bag.
